It took time but after testing every config possible, I was able to get it to work.” I purchased this product for our church to work with an iuzee camera, but it turned out to be a complete letdown. The RS232 port is defective—I’ve tried 26 different cables with the iuzee PTZ keyboard and nothing works. By the time we discovered the issue, the return window had already passed. Overall, a waste of money and a huge disappointment. I cannot recommend this product.

Works great company easy to work with

One of my favorite features of this controller is the quick select buttons that make switching cameras as easy as possible; I don't have to go through a bunch of menus anymore. Extremely easy to set up, and the directions are clear-cut. The layout of the controller is intuitive, and the buttons feel solid. This controller offers quite a few keyboard functions, so developing my muscle memory to access these functions will take some time. In terms of controlling my camera with all of the available protocols, I have had very consistent control of my camera. All of my presets recall as expected. When I put the camera into position, it recalls that location whenever I press that preset. When working on shot compositions during live events, the live preview of what you are viewing on the screen is essential. Prior to having a live preview, you had to guess what would be in the frame. One downside to using manual button sequences for track recording is that they are cumbersome to perform compared to just pushing a dedicated record button, but I have still been able to use them.

The device connected right away and was easy to pair with my cameras. The 5-inch display is genuinely useful since it lets me monitor what the camera sees without needing a separate screen. Moving pan, tilt, and zoom feels responsive through the joystick. PoE support is a real time-saver since just one cable runs from my network switch instead of dealing with extra power adapters. Camera switching happens near-instantly with the quick-select buttons. The track recording feature only supports specific camera models though, so check compatibility if that matters for your use case. At $319 I'd say it's solid value for what you're getting.

on IP, but you have to have it in serial or IP mode, it will not do both at the same time. so I have to switch back and forth since I have one camera that is IP and the other rs232 serial.

Using multiple PTZ cameras in a recording setup can become a nightmare when using only software controls. That’s why, when I saw this iuZee PTZ camera controller and joystick I had to try it. Coming from a world where we use THREE cameras in a church service but control them all by software, I couldn’t wait to see how this could lighten our workload. Boy, did it! All our cameras are connected to our network, so we simply had to find each one on this controller to get started. The instructions left a lot to be desired, but after hitting up AI, we were able to figure out how to get each one to connect. Then it became smooth sailing! This controller includes even more than we felt we needed, and it’s wonderful. We didn’t really need the screen since we have all this on a monitor, but it’s a nice addition, and clean and crisp. Best thing though are all the buttons. We can switch between cameras, add nearly 1000 presets PER camera, use the joystick to move around plus zoom in and out, and even apply effects like white balance. Our operators love it! All in all, no complaints here. Still need to dive in to see if we can adjust camera sensitivity, etc. Recommended!
