Alot of reviews show it doesn't work correctly. So I tapped and hardwired into the correct wire behind my trailer plugs. If you have the seven pin there should be an 12v trailer reverse light wire. (Some trailers do have reverse lights). You could tap the taillight for reverse, but I wasn't pulling off the taillight. Make sure you at least eletrical tape off all your connections at least when done.Everything works as it should. We will see how long it lasts. 5 stars for now.

Light bar works awesome and looks great. Only problem I had was it showed up with a small tear in the outer shell cover the lights. Hoping it doesn’t affect it with water getting in or something down the road. But overall the quality of the light bar is great! And super easy to install

Installed on my hitch rack for extra precaution when stopping or turning. Works really well and is very noticable during the day. Would have like the wires to be a larger gauge for peace of mind.

I cut the reverse wire off and taped to my cargo carrier. It adds some light to the carrier to help people see it.

The product was easy to install, the LEDs are nice and bright, and I like the bright white reverse light functionality. Unfortunately, the running light function quit in the first hour of use, and the end of the strip became hot enough to burn a fingertip. I’ve been engaged in a week-long back & forth with the manufacturer, sent pictures, videos, proof of purchase, everything they’ve asked, but still no answer on if they’ll honor the warranty. At this point I have no choice but to return it through Amazon I guess. It’s a bummer since I like the product (other than the immediate failure of course).Edited to update: it’s been almost another week, and after a phone call from mainland China and sending more pictures of myself using a digital multimeter to measure current and voltage readings in various parts of the running light circuit, they have advised me that they are sending a replacement. Will update again once I receive and install the replacement light strip.Update #2: I received my replacement light strip. Prior to installation I decided I should bench-test it so as to not waste my time if this one was faulty as well. Connected to a 12v battery right out of the package, the running lights worked. This strip comes tightly coiled in a plastic/foil bag and has to be unrolled to install it, obviously. I left power applied as I very slowly unrolled it, and I only got about 20” before the running lights failed in the exact same way. I emailed the company again, with the exact info of what happened, and their reply was that “our strip may not be compatible with your vehicle.” Pretty sad.Moral of the story: pay a bit more and get a product with better build quality. I knew I was buying a cheap product, but good grief.

Great value you just have to wire in your backup lights with the red wire.

They’re decent but nothing to get excited about. Installed on SUV. Quality is mid at best and the strips don't have the heavy duty 3M adhesive that is needed to endure all weather conditions. My shop mentioned the wires required extensions but got it done. Strips sag and fall, requiring black silicone to truly set in place. Summer hasn’t even arrived yet and I am worried about the heat since they didn’t hold up in rain. The colors look good but the app is frustrating…brightness doesn’t save and the patterns aren’t named. Overall I’m uninstalling them which comes with additional cost and a lesson learned. I wouldn’t buy this again or recommend them but to each their own

Lights work well. Hooked them up to the rear of the trailer for extra turn signals and back up light. Cutting and soldering the wires to the junction box is pretty forward.

Flexible and easy to install - 3M mounting tape very strong and wiring is water sealed where it enters one end of the light - less one star because the fuse assembly is not weather sealed and is prone to corrosion, I sealed the fuse assembly ends with marine grade silicone sealant.This is the second Nilight tailgate light I have purchased, the first one I purchased a year ago and installed it on my small pickup truck and it is still working perfectly and corrosion free. This second one I purchased for the back of my enclosed trailer mounted under the rear doors, when my trailer is connected to the truck you can't see the tailgate light on the truck. This LED lighting assembly adds much better safe lighting for the rear of the trailer.For the trailer installation I cut off the 4 pin plug and soldered the wiring inside the back corner of the trailer. The reverse wire I connected to a 12V accessory line I have inside the trailer through a switch, this let's me manually power the white reverse LED'S and provide lighting at the back doors when loading the trailer at night.Overall a great buy and well made. My experience with Nilight has been very good, they make good reliable products for a fair price.Thanks for having a look at my review, all the best, MPS 😀

Installed on the back of my 2018 Toyota Tacoma , under the tailgate - Easy install - Never had to remove the tailgate - Hard wired in... Very nice.. Very bright... Will see how long this product lasts...
