Good piece of kitchenware
I use it often & it's perfect for roasting chicken. I've dishwashed it & had it soak overnight in the sink & it still has a good coating on it. I think the depth is good for what I use it for, but I don't think it would hold something large like a full sized chicken. I love it for legs & breasts, or to finish off fried chicken pieces. I like to put veggies underneath the wire rack when roasting the breasts, the wire rack makes everything super smooth.

Overall a very nice pan, but don't like the folded inside corners.
I have a few different Chicago Metallic products, and, for the most part, love them all. In addition to these roasting pans, I also have 4 of the loaf pans. All of their products that I have are easy to clean with a little soap and warm water. The only thing that I don't like about these pans and the loaf pans is the folded corners. These corners are a bit difficult to clean as they tend to hold onto food cooked in the pans. We have been able to get the food out of the corner, but they also hold the water used to wash them. After you wash and dry them, you need to let them sit on the counter for a few minutes until all of the water drains out of the corners so you can dry them again.Although these small roasting pans will be useful for my indoor cooking, I bought them primarily to smoke and roast whole chickens in my smoker. Since the interior of my smoker is 14" x 12", these pans will fit so I can smoke two whole chickens at a time on different levels. I'm sure these roasting pans will also be very useful in a couple of the indoor ovens that I have.UPDATE 09/30/24:Today, I smoked 2 4.5 lb. chickens using these roasting pans. This was so much nicer than using the disposable foil pans. I lined each pan with aluminum foil, put in the rack, and put one chicken in each pan. There was plenty of space around the chickens for circulation of heat and smoke, and the chickens were not sitting in the drippings. I smoked the chickens at 250 degrees to internal temperatures of 165 degrees in both the breasts and the thighs. This took about 2.5 hours in our smoker.Cleanup was a breeze. I needed only to roll up the aluminum foil in the roasters, clean the smoke residue from the outside of then pans, and clean the roaster racks. +I do recommend these roasting pans because they are easy to clean, but the folded corners do require extra attention for cleaning and drying. Whenever possible, I line the interior of these pans with aluminum foil. By doing this, the pans stay clean.I hope this review was helpful for you.

Fits in Breville! + Use tip. Roasting rack hard to find.
I needed roasting rack to fit into my quarter-sized baking tray for Breville oven, but alas, none exist. Only flimsy cooling racks for baking which would be decimated after short usage as roasting rack.My goal was to roast split chicken wings recipes by Chef John & others. This roaster holds six split wings--good for one serving--perfectly. Of course, other things can roast in it, too. Won't suit everyone's needs, of course, but for Breville owners, it's perfect. As for quality & complaints about rust, everyone should know by now that circa 2014, almost everything has quality 'issues' due to globalization. I count on at least 20% lemons in any category of item I plan to buy. It's the new normal. Expecting an item like this to do well in the dishwasher or dish drainer is just not realistic.Helpful workaround for rust & ease of cleaning:Line pan with heavy duty aluminum foil, using knuckles (to not poke fingernail holes in foil) to snug into corners, folding over edges tightly. Then, keep a roll of parchment paper on hand, and whenever you use the roaster, place a piece of parchment paper on top of foil on the bottom of the pan. After cooking on the rack, place it in hot soapy water in sink for a few minutes, lightly clean with scour sponge, rinse and dry RIGHT AWAY.Discard the used parchment, leaving the original heavy duty foil in pan, wiping its sides if needed w/ paper towel or sponge. Voila! It's ready for next use. No rust. And, by reusing the foil several times (with only new parchment) before replacing it, you throw less foil into landfills.Should we have to go to this trouble? No. Does it annoy me? Yes.It just depends on how much you want a roaster like this given your particular needs. This strategy works for any baking/roasting pan size. I haven't tried this method yet for broiling. A larger Calphalon nonstick rack instructs: not for broiling, so maybe 450 is the limit.

Hard to Clean
This works well as long as I put down a sheet of aluminum foil to cover over the can't-be-cleaned bottom edges.I'm currently searching roasting pans to find the same L x W and 2-3" high, so I can replace it - I've used it for several years and have reached the point were the black, dried grease has spread too much. The non-stick roasting rack works fine and is easy to clean. One comment claims "with a non-stick surface that ensures easy release and cleanup every time."As others have commented, I find a lot of burnt oil, grease, etc. sticking in the folded corners - for some reason the sides dip down and under the bottom and you can not clean out the crack between the sides and bottom without destroying the non-stick stuff.
