Worth every penny...
This is a great slider I've been using it with my canon 5D for video over the last 2weeks and its perfect.The only cons I have is that the friction control isn't all that great it's hard to get a smooth glide with the friction on, but over all a great product.

The Biggest Little Slider!
First, I want to thank KonovaUSA for helping me receive my slider before my shoot. They responded instantly to my email left at 9pm and had my slider shipped by 10am the following morning. THANK YOU!!This is great piece of gear worth every dime you pay. This is not some half-rate barely-usable piece-of-junk.This review is for the Konova K2 47" Slider Dolly.Pros:Mounting:It comes with 5 five tripod mounting spots. One on each end so you want mount it vertically, and three on the bottom so it can be center mounted or support on each end.All of the treads are well machined and clean. It can be mounted with 1/4 or 3/8 standard photography threads.It also has two 1/4" threads on top so you can invert the slider for overhead shots.Feet: It comes with two feet each in its own carrying bag. They fold up for easy storage and are fully adjustable for any kind of surface ie. you use them nicely on even or uneven surfaces.Slider: I bought the K2 slider which only has a total of three bearings. two on one track and one on the other track. K3 comes with four bearings, and K5 comes with 6 bearings. I do not understand the dramatic price increases for $2 worth of bearings. It is clear that KONOVA is not trying to make a quick buck, but wants to create a quality products. However, they should only sell four and six bearing sliders and reduce the price a bit.Now back to the slider. The K2 with 3 bearings works GREAT! very very smooth, it does not catch, bind or wobble at all. This slider is well built and machined correctly. It was tested with a Canon 5D Mark II with Canon 70-200 II lens, and other lenses. Smooth Smooth Smooth.The surface of the slider is very clean and allows you to place your thumb on it to provide for drag as you slide for smoother freehand sliding.It has two bubble levels at each end, very nice and we use them constantly. It also has a measuring tape so you can control your shots ( we do not use that)All of the bearing surfaces are inside the slider where they are well protected, they are not easy to clean. However, the slider comes with a small tool kit and cleaning cloth to remedy this.Bag: it comes with a very nice bag with a handle and shoulder strap. But it is softbag and will not protect the slider as checked luggage. You could put the slider in a shipping tube for that.Cons:This slider should be build a little bit wider and deeper to give it greater strength. (you will not find anything better at this price however.)Three bearings: Three Bearings is not going to be as smooth or rugged as four or more. Where you will notice this if you slide to the left, then stop and start back to the right there will be a slight twist with a three bearing car. Who would need such as shot I do not know - So there you have it.The Brake: On the side of the slider car, there is an easy to use knob for the brake. It works great for full stop or release. It is useless as tensioner, it will not help with sliding or allowing controlled gravity drop at all, this was a disappointment.Summary:If you are new to sliding I would defiantly buy this slider (K2) it is a great unit that does its job. If you have a heavy camera or a DSLR rig with plies of stuff, then step up to the K5. If money is not a real issue then get the K3 or K5 as it will be a better unit.

Miglior rapporto qualità-prezzo

Superb value for the money!
For a little under $300, it is a superb value for the money.Pros:1. Heavy duty medal construction and generally speaking smooth ball bearing movements;2. Super smooth exterior finish;3. Strong and multi angle feet design;4. Easy set up and break down; 120 seconds of set up time or less!5. Very expandable for future add on accessories such as motor and time lap timing device;6. Scaled (in cm and not inches! This is great!) main beam for accurate time lap preps;7. Easy setup for vertical and overhead sliding shots;8. Great value for the money;Cons:1. Bearing noise is noticeable by on camera microphone; A separate recording device is essential to eliminate the noise;2. Does not balance well with center tripod setup; Heavy sand bags are required if use tripod or it will risk of tipping over when sliding to the end; Recommend using either two tripods or two light stands to support the K2 from each end for stability;3. Wide shot only, shaky shot detectable using normal lens or telephoto lens; Recommend additional small sand bags for both light stands and each end or the slider.4. Do not over tighten video head such as Bogen HD 501 head, it sure feels like it would twist the tracks where ball bearing slides out of alignments and create more noise when sliding. Lacks of alternative securing method for fluid heads such as triangle three screw secure mount used for Bogen legs;5. Carrying bag is designed for carrying only and not for transport protections;

Buon prodotto

Here is a response from Konova after receiving 2 sliders that were terrible and could not be adjusted
This is my second Konova slider after returning the first one. The slider was anything but smooth, I made several attempts to adjust the slider according to the poorly written instructions but that was no use. This was Konova's response. Basically saying we make unreliable products , send it back!Smooth and reliable LOL!!! Here is a response from Konova after receiving 2 sliders that were terrible and could not be adjusted. Dear joe tansin I'm really sorry for the problem with out product. Yes, if we ship another one, it works properly. but, the friction and sound would be almost the same. when we manufacture, we inspect every slider, friction and sliding and sound. If you don't mind, could you please contact amazon for full refund? I'm really sorry. If you buy again, I'm afraid that you would experience the same dissatisfaction again. thank you for sharing your experience and let us try our best to improve our quality. Sincerely yours.
