Fitting glue failed
Glue holding fittings failed after 2 months in a diesel transfer tank. I highly recommend jb welding the fittings to avoid this problem. After I jb welded them I’ve had no issues in 8 months.

Worked great for my application, wish it were metal though.
Just what I needed! Using a 275gal IBC for fuel farm. Needed longer suction tube for pump. Could I have saved some $$ by getting some 1" sch 40 pvc pipe & a slp x the adaptor? Yes. Would the cost of fuel/labor to go the ~100 mile (round trip) to the store to get the adaptor - that I didn't have in stock - be economically feasible? Probably not.Really wish it were made of metal, hope the pvc holds up - replaced metal suction tube that was too short for the IBC.Bottom line, the cost difference for me works.

could use more info.
It's pretty basic but when gluing the pieces together I was wondering if I should use a certain kind of PVC glue. There was no recommendation so I just used what I had. Hope it lasts.
