This toy is bad
This cube is so incredibly loud I hid it in the garage away from my kids! Even with the volume low it's still quite loud. The games are a little challenging and my 10 year old lost interest very quickly and my 4 year old likes to make it loud and throw it. That basically sums up my experience with it. Its a $34 noisy brick to throw. It can help with muscle memory though and I suppose it can exercise your brain. It's not something I would recommend. It could be giftable for a "white elephant" type gift or if you want to annoy any parents that have kids. That's about it - in my opinion.

A colorful spin on memory games from years past.
This is a fun novelty gift with several engaging modes. If you're an adult, I honestly think you might enjoy it best for the lights feature, and you'll want to turn the volume all the way down. This is a *GREAT* gift for an aunt or an uncle to give a child who likes noisy electronics. It will definitely hold a child's attention for a while. There is a game similar to the old "Snake" computer game, but with buttons on the sides of the cube. There's a memory game similar to a popular UFO-shaped 80's toy. And the thing can make music. There's even a multiplayer mode.At first I was a little worried I might break it as I frantically turned the cube over in my hands in a race to hit the different buttons depending on the game I wanted to play, but it held up to my fumbling. It's sturdy enough for even a child with my poor motor skills.

Enough variations for hours of play
There are enough variations in the games you can play with this toy to keep your child, or even a parent, occupied for hours at a time. The translation job on the directions, however, is comical and that alone will give you some real laughs. The bit about the batteries (not included) is particularly funny and obfuscated. Like, DUH, you don't recharge batteries in the device (if you use rechargeable batteries). If you're not providing batteries then why bother to discuss them?

Addictive
Great for Motor and Memory Skills for Kids and Older AdultsWe got this for the kids but I was playing the first game until over 350 points as it was challenging. I am excited for the children to utilize their motor skills and memory. We may want to give this to Grandpa who is struggling with dementia as it could be a great way to "exercise" his mental and memory skills along with his motor skills.I am excited to play with the kids to see if they can beat my new high score. The instructions are so terrible that they are funny. Something about non-rechargeable batteries can not be recharged.... Don't use rechargeable batteries... Rechargeable batteries can only be charged under adult supervision??? (There are no rechargeable batteries and it takes 3 AAA batteries that are not included.)

Not a toy for special needs
The media could not be loaded. I got this toy for my special needs daughter who loves memory games but this is someone difficult to navigate for her and hard to understand the voice giving commands . Getting the batteries in was a challenge. The volume goes to the highest point after each time it is shut down so a tad annoying. Not what I expected but could be a great toy for stress relief for those more Capable

Confusing Flashing Handheld Game Cube!!!
I personally thought this handheld flashing game cube was a bit confusing, to say the least! I got this thing for myself. I wanted it because I read in various articles that "memory games" like this one, really help the cognitive process....especially with possibly of preventing Dementia and/or Alzheimer's Disease.Let me talk about why I found this game so confusing. First off, the directions were just kind of all over the place?! There were so many grammatical errors and misspellings. Also, the word "lamp" was frequently used, regarding how to operate this game (and I am asking myself, "What is the LAMP on this thing)?! Trying to remove the screw to add the AAA (not included) batteries, was also a bit frustrating at first.I find it interesting that this flashing handheld game is for children however, the instructions are so confusing?! If "I" am having trouble with figuring out the instructions (as a grown adult), I could only imagine how a child would manage. I was able to play perhaps three (3) of the seven (7) included games on this device.Since they instructions were a bit difficult to figure out, I tried to make them out the best that I could. I must say, with the three games that I was able to play, I did have fun! Also, I could see almost instantly, how this game could improve my memory! I do like the bright colors of this game, by the way!Overall, I gave this game three (3) stars because of the confusing instructions. If I can only learn to play three (3) of the seven (7) games.....I am not able to utilize the full capabilities of this game (meaning, one may not be able to get their full money's worth). Again, the three games that I did play were fun and really got my memory going! I just wish that the instructions were a bit clearer, so that I could truly understand this handheld flashing game cube. I am hoping with a bit of trial and error, I will be able to learn how to play the other four (4) games.
