The icing is sickeningly sweet, the dough is slightly on the dry end because there is no proper cinnamon filling inside.. just a dust of cinnamon. Don't understand how they can sell it as a cinnamon bun... disappointed!

I recently ordered Cinnamon Swirls but I got these.There were so many problems with the order I let this error pass; besides, I was curious about these - at two and a half times the price of the cinnamon swirls.To be honest, next time I'll be sure I get the cinnamon swirls, and not these.Unlike the cinnamon swirls with a buttery cinnamon paste in the swirls, these are a light, fluffy brioche type pastry with the merest whisper of cinnamon in the swirls and then topped with a major excess of runny sticky and somewhat sickly icing which has a weirdly acidic lemon flavour and, checking the ingredients, it does indeed contain lemon juice.Where else can you buy ANYTHING that mixes cinnamon and lemon ?!Such a bizarre combination! and I really don't feel that it works. Perhaps if you scrape off most of the icing before eating, these would be ok which is what I did with the second one - you at least then stand a chance of being able to taste cinnamon.I believe they need to have a bit of a rethink about these. Icing without lemon but with a little cinnamon instead would be a much better idea imo.

Very dry and tasteless or maybe it was made the day before? Will not be buying again
