LEGO The Hobbit The Hobbit Escape from Mirkwood Spiders - 79001

Legos are one of those products that are quality made, and continue to be quality made. Guess that's why they are expensive. My son loves Legos and we have spent quite a few bucks on Legos. Its ok, they make the brain think instead of staring at a tv. This set is good. The expected attention to detail is there, and even the small parts and mesh where you might expect a company to go cheap, Lego did not. Enough pieces to build, take apart, make something else. Good product.

Another collectible item for our 14 years old son. He loves it. You cannot go wrong with Lego products. They are the best for keeping up with our kids imagination, for developing cognitive skills, and for creating smiles all around! :)The item was ordered with a second item, and both were receive very fast, and in perfect condition. Highly recommend this product and vendor.

The set is perfect in its imitation of Mirkwood. Special functions include a falling tree, a small spider launcher, glow-in-the-dark elements and posable legs of the spiders. I am feeling the decay and evil of the forest. The set fits well with 79004 Exclusive Barrel Escape and 79012 Mirkwood Elf army. This set is definitely worth buying!

The amount of pieces that have broken is ridiculous the picture is only a small portion of them. I didn’t think to document them all as we went until we were almost done. Legolas broke as well but we glued him back together. Our son was so excited for this gift from Santa to build it with his dad. My husband has been the main one putting the pieces together and for the amount of money spent on the Lego brand we thought it would be a reliable and good quality choice. But no. This experience has shattered our son’s view of Santa and ruined his “big gift” for Christmas this year. To say we are disappointed would be an understatement.

When I first decided to buy this set, I read many reviews, which were all good. This set just misses the five star mark so it is a very good set. I am a very book accurate person so I would have rather seen bilbo with some stones rather than Legolas and Taurial. The spiders are great looking and smooth eith great durabilty. Lego could have added one more though The forestry parts are pretty good but Lego coud have done better. Fortunately, I did make it better, with the web stretching across the trees. I realy like the webs Fili and Kili are caught in. I do not think it is woth $30 dollars but the price of $21 (what I got it at) is a great buy and woth it. Overall a great buy with a few flaws.

A little pricey but again, it's LotR/Hobbit and LEGO. Perfect gift for a 10 year old who's really getting into the fantasy genre.

My son and I loved this set. He loves spiders and the Hobbit. He is only 4.5 years old and helped a lot with putting it together.
