Works okay
These ice molds are really cool, however they don't stay sealed very well, you need to be careful, which also makes sense given it's a sphere. But it will leak. Other than that, they're great.

Nice gadget for a gift!
My friend absolutely loved this gift once they opened it up! The sphere it makes looks like a real baseball and is perfect for baseball season! Could be easier to use but it gets the job done. Intructions could be clearer though.

Works well, could have a bit of an easier design to line it up
I got these for my brother who is a sports fanatic, especially baseball. It comes with two molds in the unit. The molds are easy to clean and assemble, although there is not a clear way to line up the baseball threads inside the mold - in fact, mine is offset, so where the top and the bottom look like they would naturally align, it’s actually a quarter turn off so the outer lines and bottom feet don’t line up but are a quarter off. They are easy to fill from the top hole, and there are best case instructions included. We were able to get our first batch out with some difficulty, but because of the silicone, it is not too hard to roll off if it doesn’t pop out on the first try.The one we had tested out had a bit of a bulge once it was frozen over, which took overnight, and was bulging on the side like another reviewer mentioned - but it was still pretty clearly a baseball and would still work well for a drink. I’m sure with more practice, it’ll become easier, but it is definitely a try a couple times to get it kind of product. You may want to sharpie a line to make it easier to line up where the threads should be for future use, but overall it works and I am sure he will love it.

Tip included to prevent leaks
I read the instructions on the side of box and it seemed easy enough. Two silicone molds are provided. I filled the bottom half 1st (with the top off) to speed things up, then I put the top lid on and filled the rest through the opening on the top without any issues. I do the same with the 2nd mold and it would keep leaking from the seam and it never seemed to form a tight seal. I twisted the lid hoping it would help and it just kept leaking and so I'd keep refilling it to top it off but it kept leaking and so I kept twisting some more and around and around I go on this vicious cycle. Finally I just decided to uses the slightest touch and not overfill it and carefully placed the 2 molds into the freezer. The next day, I grabbed the molds out of the freezer and ran the mold under (hot) water as per instructions to help soften it and tried opening it but failed. I tried twisting the mold like you would to open a jar of peanut butter but failed. There is a small flap on the bottom half of the mold that protrudes out by the seam to help pull it apart but I couldn't get it to budge when I pulled on it. Finally, I successfully got the ice to release from the mold by sticking my thumb under the top lid and lifting up just like I would to peeling an orange.RESULTS OF 1ST BATCH:1 came out perfectly...the one I didn't have an issue with filling. Ball size is 2.5 inches. The other one was a dud. The whole top half is missing - pic attached. I don't even know where the excess water went.I now noticed (this being day 2) that there's a small square indentation on the seam of bottom mold and a small square that protrudes out on the top half of the mold and realized that it was designed to act as a "locking"mechanism. I also thought that this would solve my issue with the results of 1st ball in that the threads on the ball didn't align with the top to the bottom half. Why was this seemingly important design detail omitted from the instructions? SMH. Now with this new info in hand, I retested one of the molds.RESULTS OF 2nd BATCH:I got a solid ball, but it wasn't perfectly round but looked like it had a lump like when a cartoon character gets hit over the head - see pic. The threads of the baseball didn't line up either. So I repeated the test (with the 1 mold).RESULTS OF 3rd BATCH:When I took the mold out of the freezer, water oozed out of the top hole and froze over so I was skeptical I would get good results but I was wrong. It was a success! The threads even lined up! I noticed how the ice froze in a way that was practically clear which makes it more aesthetically pleasing and I think it was like this because unlike the first 2 attempts, I froze those for 24 hours whereas with this 3rd attempt, I froze it for about 5-6 hours.SUMMARY: results may vary based on your pour and most importantly sealing it shut.TIP: save yourself from water leaking out during the pour process by aligning the small square indentation on the seam of the bottom mold with the small square that protrudes out on the top half of the mold and then pray to the ice queens that you will yield a fruitful batch.

A little hard to use but work well
As the ttile says, these were a bit hard to use. You hhave to line thm just right to add water, then getting the cubes out is a mission. But the resulting ice cubes are really neat when it works
