A simple but effective tool
This is actually a very handy tool. When replacing all the trim in my house, this tool does tell me exactly where to measure to cut the trim that will fit around a bull-nosed corner. It's super easy to use and it does make the job faster. But here's why I didn't rank it 5-start (and why value for money is only 3):One: mine came with no instructions whatsoever. Oh sure, it seems that it should be intuitive, but there's nothing but the tool's label printed on it. And there are four small holes, two on each side. If you aren't familiar with the tool's use, you might think that one of these holes is where to place the pencil to make your measuring mark. There's no where that points out that you ACTUALLY make the mark on the inside edge of one of the leaves. Two: it seems a little over priced for what amounts to a wedged piece of injection molded plastic that serves only one purpose, and that's outside corner miter cuts on bull-nosed walls.Overall it's a great tool, but honestly not something you couldn't rig up a quick jig to do the same job for mere pennies, instead of the $13 plus shipping.

I am not a professional base board installer so....
A friend of mine told me about this device, but I could not get it to work for me. I completely take responsibility as "user error," and hired a guy to finish the job. The guy I hired used the same tool, so I guess he should have written the review!

Saved me a ton of time doing baseboards
My house has all rounded corners and this gadget helped me out a great deal. It's really just a piece of plastic and I'm sure you could make a similar template easily but for the price and the amount of time it saved me I found it paid for itself quickly. I did some bullnose corners before I bought this and they did not turn out as well. I didn't have any trouble with the cuts that some others reported but I always measured to the marks I created with this tool and then took into account blade kerf and didn't have any issues.

This gauge will get...
... the break for the cuts, but you'll need to be a craftsman to make the cuts tight. I'll bet your house does not have a single 90* outside corner in it, and that is what you must have, a true 90, for this gauge to do its job. Then you'll need a saw that can cut an accurate 22.5* angle both left and right. And the 5/8" throat is rare. Most bullnose bends are 1/2". This device does however, make a great pencil tray on my work bench. Keeps those suckers from rolling off the table and breaking the leads.

Awesome little tool for baseboard or any type of trim that does around the a bullnose corner.
Man doing bullnose trim used to take a little longer than just square corners . Now this thing came into my life and made a pretty big difference when installing the bullnose trim . Just give this thing a couple small tack nails and you can do it by yourself no problem .

Bullnose miter
Not a frequent tool required but for the purpose finding angle start of miter it met its need. Not as common now is the wooden quarter bead found in older houses. This found my angle start to get the skirting round the corner to supply a more professional finish. Can be used on cornice as well to supply same effect. Handy to have in the tool box when need arises
