Incase CL69116 Crystal Slider Case for iPhone 5 - Purple Haze

4 stars because it really is a decent case. I read the reviews of the other colors, but I wish I'd paid more attention to the photos specifically (yes Amazon, I'm looking at you for removing the customer upload pictures--I'd love to add some more pictures of the Purple Haze!).I'm all about the purples when it comes to cases and covers--I like a color that stands out in a dark or cluttered interior of a car/purse/backpack etc. This particular shade of purple is pretty middle of the road--not too far onto the blue or red ends of the purple spectrum, and a moderately deep shade.I can't speak personally of the protective-ness features as I have yet to drop my phone, nor am I going to do so on purpose just to test out the case. The case does have respectable comments regarding this aspect--protective for normal wear and tear, without too much bulk going on. Short of a heavy work environment, this case does appear to have all the necessary design features for daily protection. You will need to buy a screen film separately as one is not included with this brand.The case slides on easily enough and is removed without too much difficulty. The fit is snug and proper (I saw some reviews saying it was loose, but perhaps that was an earlier version?).Two things I don't like:1. The case is very slick and slippery. Granted this is a personal preference to some degree, but for me it feels like it is in danger of sliding away from me, and this is not the kind of 'slider' I'm looking for in my phone case.2. Purely cosmetic, but what the 'Crystal' apparently refers to is the darn thing sparkles. Fine if that is what you are looking for, but I'm not a sparkly/glittery type of person. I did notice that this is more apparent in the other colors once I went back and looked again--too bad I did not see that on the others when still shopping. However, as I was specifically seeking out a purple case, I did not stop to look at grey or raspberry. The photo on this listing is a good rendition (on my monitor) of the purple but is far too small to see the glittery aspects.This was purchased via a partner vendor and 'fulfilled by Amazon'--which means the vendor keeps it's stock on Ammy's shelves which is fantastic for the 2 day/super save/prime shipping but does mean there may be less clarity in the descriptions. The other color/vendor options made the photos clearer, and with Amazon removing the ability for customers to upload pictures I can't show a better one.Oh well, all said though, this is a fine, low profile case I have a good degree of confidence on. I will update the review once I either have a problem with it, or can compare it with another case.Recommended, but be sure you like a slick case that is sparkly (and remember to buy the screen cover if you want one).JTG

I've tried scores of different cases for the seven iPhones that have come and gone through my household. Incase is the hands-down best. The case is sturdy, stylish and affordable. It fits flawlessly and all the cutouts are perfect. Incase stands behind their products better than the others as well. I had an issue with a iPhone 3G Slider case and they replaced it no questions asked. I didn't even have to send the old one back! All the iPhones in my home are protected by these cases and will be long into the future.
