Pattern Play: a Zentangle Creativity Boost: Volume 1

I have looked forward to this book arriving and it does have some good Zentangle ideas , however considering the price I did not expect so many blank pages, granted this is to encourage you to finish off the tangles started but it is half of the book. Not happy at this price, this is not value for money by any means. The paper is not good quality either so in my opinion I would give a higher rating if it was around the £5 price not £16! I think the publishers should tell you how many of the pages out of the total provided are blank for you to fill with your own tangles. Disappointed and feeling a bit ripped off!

Wow.. , as soon as the book arrived I sat down to skim through it, as you do, half an hour later there I was, spellbound... the drawings and ideas are a beautiful, for those of you that are stuck for ideas, and want to turn your tiles into real works of art, this is for you, and to add to the joy, read the book through, it is like going to a master class with a first class inspired teacher, I have been so disappointed with some zentangle books which never give enough information,, but this, is full of advice, ideas, hints and tips, as well as the beautiful works of art, the birds and the peacock in the first few pages are stunning, as I said, this is a keeper. which will remain at hand to pick up any time, go on spoil yourself, I know it is a bit pricey, but you are worth it... and so is the book.

I thought long and hard about buying this book when I saw the price, but how glad I am that I gave in and bought it. It is the best Zentangle book I. Own and that's about twenty books. There are so many alternatives for each tangle and I'm completely hooked. I know it's expensive but it really is worth every penny.

Fantastic book, I just love it. The principals of Zentangle are spelt out and the basis of the book is a series of tangles lovingly enhanced. Space is given for your own creativity but as yet I haven't dared to embellish my copy although I have tried out lots of their ideas elsewhere. Currently goes everywhere with me.

Not enough pattern play decorative panels on the practice pages, too many "same again" on the facing pages, and even a following chapter. I was hoping for a display of stimulating finished tiles.

Of the zentangle books I have purchased, this is by far the best. In fact it is the best artbook I have ever bought. It is like having a personal tutor and I will refer to it again and again.
