These are thin and probably snippable. But for lowish value bikes/scooters they are cheap enough that you can have one permanently attached on the off chance you may need it. And you can have a spare lock for your friend who forgot one.Tip - in general, push some vaseline inside every hole you can find in a bike lock before using it. Key holes/whatever. Since doing this I have never had a lock freeze or rust solid.

Ignore the reviewers who said this lock is not usable... they have used it expecting to be able to leave their bike locked up with this. Anyone doing that with this lock deserves to have their bike stolen. This lock is thin enough to be cut with a pair of wire cutters, not instantly but within probably 3 cuts. So certainly anything larger could do it in one. But anything larger could do any of the larger wire based locks in the same amount of time. Cheap D-locks are only mildly better. 10% of the cost of your bike should be spent on your lock is the 'going rate' if you want to keep it. I'd use this to lock up a 3yr olds bike, pram or ive used it on my front wheel as an easy to carry 2nd lock or a simple emergency lock for more opportunistic moments. If your bike is out of sight, this is not the lock for you...and i'm sorry for those who have used it so and lost theirs. Had enough bikes stolen in the past to know what that feels like. Worse as those locks were 60pounds plus. So you can perhaps imagine the difference. A good lock will last you and your bike years, worth the investment. This good if you are out for a day trip and dont want to carry a 2kg lock.

Not the best

This is sturdy and works well. I think a thief would have to be quite determined to saw through it but as our bike will be untended for less than an hour at a time it suits us perfectly. The downside is that the combination is preset but it comes with a small metal tag with the number on it which is easily stored in a purse or wallet until you have it memorised. At the price this is a steal.

I bought this to secure the rain cover around my motorcycle during windy conditions and it's perfect for that use. This is a reasonably light duty cable with a lightweight combination lock. It's ideal to secure anything that isn't going to be targeted by determined criminals. If someone came equipped with pliers or clippers, this wouldn't last long, but it should deter anyone else. Fine for my use and a very good price.

Looks nice haven't used yet

I ordered two for my daughters bikes. Didn’t want anything too long or chunky to work with so these seem to fit the bill. Arrived in red but thought I was ordering black (which would have matched both bikes). Short in length as described- could attach to thin pole but not eg a lamp post. Seems like a good job however. Arrived very quickly
