Having migrated from using manual shears to this electric one, I was pleasantly surprised. This electric hedge trimmer is basic and light but worth its weight in gold. Don't be fooled by the fact that it is basic as it performs its task of hedge cutting quickly and efficiently and saves me an awful lot of time. The hedge trimmer does not put too much strain on the arm muscles as it is relatively light. You can pay considerably more for a hedge trimmer but I am not convinced that you will get better value. The only slight negative is that the trimmer is only rated for branch thicknesses of 16 mm (just over 1/2 "), this is not a problem for me but if your foliage is thicker than normal then this is something to bear in mind.There is an old adage that you get what you pay for but in this case you are getting an awful lot more than its low price suggests with the added benefit of a 2 year warranty. It's a bargain - buy it!

I bought this to trim my daughter's hedge after she moved into a property that had been neglected for at least a couple of years. I didn't wish to pay for a big brand name on something that is only going to be used at most a couple of times a year.For its price this tool offered a more powerful motor and longer blade than other competing trimmers, so I figured to give it a try. I was really pleased with its performance, especially the way in which it tackled thicker branches. The lead is a bright orange and that is such a vital safety issue, as cutting through one's own power cord with a hedge trimmer is easily done. One older review criticises the grey colour of the lead, so this has now been rectified. Despite its size and power I found it light enough to swing around and I have had both shoulders replaced; anybody with normal upper body strength will find this a doddle to use. The longer blade makes it easier to get a consistent finish across a larger hedge, so I ended up liking this tool and its features.I recommend it wholeheartedly.

Theze trimmers cut through my Privetts like a knife through butter,excellent, & not heavy.

Good sharp cutting blade. Not too heavy. It is a bit noisy had to wear ear defenders. Otherwise decent hedge cutter.

not as good as i thought Space gaps are not very wide, and the cable is not very long you would have to use an extension .. but it is still easy to use!
