Great book! Not a perfect biography, but a considerate introduction to Abe Lincoln.

This was purchased for a book report for my 3rd grader. I thought this was a good Lincoln biography for his reading and educational level. It introduced unfamiliar terms, but was mostly understandable by him. I like that the full Gettysburg address was included and that many of Lincoln's "own words" were included throughout.

Great book! Love the concept of the whole "In Their Own Words" series. Let us hear some of the REAL words famous people said and then let us trust ourselves and our children to see whether or not these people were great or not. I bought the whole series for my homeschool (and myself).
