It does what is should, but there are better presses.
It works and the buck on the top makes it look great with my Lodge wildlife series skillets. Note that it does not come seasoned. Or if it was, it was done poorly. I put it on the counter and someone spilled a bit of water on it. Overnight it rusted considerably. I cleaned it and properly seasoned it and it won't rust now. It's smaller than I imagined. My fault as you can read the dimensions. It's closer to the size of a burger press and only covers a couple of strips of bacon. There are better presses out there, but if you are drawn to the buck on top, it will do the job.

NICE ITEM
Item is pretty. Works nice. Screws holding the handle are supposed to be countersunk but protruded a ways into the bacon and I'm not sure they are food grade screws. However, we are satisfied with the item. I will replace the screws with stainless steel ones.
