It does very nicely for the work I'm doing and the price is very good. It does not come with instructions to help fit it properly so will need to be an and expert jigsaw solver.

As a commercial waist harness, this one is excellent. It is idiot proof, very well made and uses strong materials. I cannot be sure about the stitching (which is the most vital part), but it looks sound to me, and I have used harnesses for 50 years.BUT it is NOT CE EN rated and is entirely made from polypropylene. It also maxes out at a 16 stone man in terms of usage rating. CE market stuff is also rated in Kilonewtons, while this is rated in Kg force, at the ability to take 2,200kg of pull. That's about the same as a climbing carabinier. Climbing harnesses are usually rated far above the krabs.The upshot is that I do NOT think this harness is good for climbing or mountaineering but would use it myself when tree felling or doing roofing work where the dynamic force (before you hit the ground anyway!) is far less. My other point is that it is not a true safety harness because it is waist and shoulder based only and lacks leg loops. A user who was up-ended would probably slip out to their death. USE LEG LOOPS TOO. Make sure they are connected to the main harness appropriately too.The material is also very prone to sun damage. If you buy one, keep away from sunlight when stored.

The harness is strongly made, attaching to the torso via strong straps that cross over on the back coming over the shoulder and securing with buckles around the waist and chest. The harness is tethered by a rope attached to the back, the other end of the rope (1.6M long) can be attached to an anchor point via a large metal clasp/clamp that when open has a jaw width opening of 6cm, meaning that you can securely lock it around any anchor point, such as scaffolding pole up to 6cm thick. In addition to being strong the clasp is sprung and can be opened by one hand allowing the user to move from one anchor point to another with ease. If attached to a rail the clasp will slide along the length of the rail.The harness is easy to adjust and relatively comfortable, with a padded strip that can be attached to the strap that attaches around your waist.This is one of those things that you probably won't use much but when you do could save your life. Its fine when you have a specific anchor point and don't need to move far from it, but if this is not the case, for example working on a roof, the addition of a climbing rope will add a level of flexibility.The harness is well made and ideal for anyone requiring such an item.
