The product arrived with a scratch which makes me think this is an opened box and not new. There’s no seal or any way of validating if this is a new unopened device. Quite sad as its not a cheap purchase!

I have had the original GHD for well over 15 years (plug mended twice) but they were the best straighteners to tame my unruly mop which is thick fine loose curly hair.Well they looked like they were on the blink so after asking friends what GHDs they would get I decided to try the Platinum ones with high expectations; they came quickly and in good condition so didn’t expect them to be absolutely rubbish.The case that is worth £60… err nope… waste of space… literally… why, they aren’t even heat proofThey didn’t glide through the hair, the plates became hot but for some reason didn’t get rid of the frizz or make a wave. I tried the on button and that wasn’t doing much, I wondered if it was a protection mechanism to stop heat damage? Who knows but I am giving them the benefit of the doubt and think they were faulty but for this price definitely not worth the outcome.Think I will buy the simple GHD as I know the basic technology will do the job.
