We regularly drink fresh coffee, but not so much loose tea as until now we had the old fashioned filter that sits on top of the mug. You get to see the water become infused and you can tell when it is ready to drink from the colour of the water. Using the tea pot is simple, add the loose tea to the central section and then put it in the pot, then add hot water. Cleaning is also simple enough as the ceramics come out.Is this tea cafetiere necessary? Not really, but if you know an enthusiastic tea drink or would like a nice looking piece of kitchenalia in the home, then this does the trick. It can also be used as a conventional teapot by puting the infuser to one side. It make a nice gift for a tea lover.

The quality is incredibly flimsy, the spout snapped coming out of the box, now have to faff about to return to get my money back.

It's a beautiful teapot but its not durable as advertised. It broke very very easily within 6 months.
