Don’t read any other reviews I have re federalized my lawn 6 times over the years and by far this was the best peat moss spreader I have used .(usually go to Home Depot and spend $20 to rent ) for $40 to won this is awesome . The package comes non assembled but easy to assemble with a helping hand (use your own Phillips driver though ) the clamps on the end make it easy to refill and close unlike the other brands. Rolls perfect no issues at all will be using this for years to come absolulty love this . If I were a professional landscaper, I might choose another spreader at about 3x the cost of this one, but it works well for my needs and looks like it will last long enough if it's taken care of and not left out in the elements to deteriorate.As many reviewers have noted, assembly instructions are cryptic at best, but if you have a knack for how mechanical type devices function, you should be able to figure it out. It was helpful to have a second pair of hands to attach the screens to the circular end plates.In the end, I was very pleased with how well it spread material to cover the seed on my lawn - very efficient and even, filtering out the larger debris.

Whoever wrote the assembly instructions needs to be fired. Nothing matches up.

Assembly was a little difficult but after I figured it out it went smoothly enough. It should perform superbly once I get the opportunity to use it come spring. It is made from quality expanded steel that will be durable and not "springy: This was a good find for the money.

Great spreader for the price, but the instructions are hard to read and took a little studying to assemble it. The included tool set is cheap and the wrenches are knuckle busters. I gave them to my five-year-old to put in his "toolbox".

So, initially putting this together is a pain. We received two same side ends, making it to where the holes on the mesh would align on one side but not the other.Well I needed to get this yard done, so I just made some holes on it to align with the proper position.Other than that it was fine.

It's not the highest quality but is the cheapest one I could find. I have found that it's best to use very fine compost. Certainly nothing that will clump up or have large pieces in it. It does work though. Time will tell how many seasons I will be able to get out of it.

I live in New Zealand and it costs a lot to freight stuff here. But the price and freight together was better than the original Landzie cost. I also asked a guy to fabricate one for me and that was going to be expensive too. Arrived in a flatpack and took some time to assemble, but did the job fantastically.
