"Following great anticipation, KORN-one of the most influential rock bands of modern times-have announced their 12th studio album, THE SERENITY OF SUFFERING. Produced by Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Deftones, Mastodon), the album will be released on October 21 and features a special guest appearance from Corey Taylor of Slipknot. It marks the band’s welcomed return to Roadrunner Records who previously released 2010’s KORN III – Remember Who You Are and 2011’s The Path of Totality. KORN are Jonathan Davis (vocals), James “Munky” Shaffer (guitar), Brian “Head” Welch (guitar), Reginald “Fieldy” Arvizu (bass) and Ray Luzier (drums) " Review: So good - Amazing album Review: Excellent - This is the most consistent Korn album since the band went it's separate ways all those years ago. The electro of the Paradigm shift isn't gone but is a lot more subtle. Jonathan Davis singing is on a similar level to that of Untouchables a more singing style for the most part but then guttural screaming the next he hasn't mellowed in his older age. It's filled with harmonies and catchy songs but then punches you in the face hard with some of the heaviest riffs and parts of Korn songs since take a look in the mirror. It's different enough to attract new fans but still has that old downtimes dirty sound to it my only regret is that fieldys click/slap base isn't more prominent but that's been the case with some albums his bass is there you can hear it it just doesn't have that clicking sound FIELDY is know for. I'd recommend it to a lot of people but a lot of people feel like they've outgrown them which is sad because this is in their top 5 albums and they are also on fire at the moment live too possibly the best I've seen them play including with David.

Best metal album of 2016???
Absolutely brilliant album. Korn were the first metal band I discovered and are a huge part of why I am a fan of this type of music. Recent albums have been a let down when compared to their early work that broke them into the scene. However this new offering is outstanding. Every song on this album is excellent. From the heavy breakdowns to the subtle and emotional melodies mixed with Jonathan's lyrics this album takes you on a journey of a band that have truly lived and grown over the last near 20 years. If you are or have ever been a fan of korn but have been dissuaded by recent sub par offerings then this album will make you fall in love with korn yet again. If you have never been a fan before, this album will introduce you to one of the all time greats of the genre and have you desperately searching for their earlier works. Korn are back to their very best.

Finally
Well... Not quite sure why Untouchables is being referenced here, but hey-ho. It's nothing like that, but it's not like their self titled either. It's more of a mixture of the 2nd-4th albums as to how some of these songs sound, but just much heavier. Decent album, the song with 'baby baby baby' isn't my favourite, just the lyrics... but the actual song is brilliant. I'd give it the full five if we had more 'funky' tracks with hip hop breakdowns and such, like in the first and second albums, if you're a Korn fan since day one like myself then you'll know what I mean but you'll be happy with it, happier than the last few for sure! For fans that got into them in the 2000's during Heads 'holiday' then well, I'm sure you'll absolutely love it anyway. Roll on December in Birmingham to see them live!

Massive return to form!!!
Wow, I can truly say that this album is a MASSIVE TRIUMPH!!! It is full of all of the elements that make Korn great - crushing riffs, agonising vocals and eery atmospheres but most important great song writing. Head's return on the last album definitely improved their sound again and it realy seems that the band are feeling revitalised and fresh. Too many great tracks to mention but I love Everything Falls Apart, A Different World and the bonustracks are essential (they should be part of the album proper in my view). Maybe their best album since the Issues and Untouchables era (time will tell I guess!). Must buy!

KoRn still rock.
I'm happy to report that Korn are very much at the top of their game with this one. I dislike the "they're back" lines being thrown around, as in my opinion, Korn never really degraded as much as people like to suggest. They have matured, they have tried new things and changed with the times, and this is why they have survived when other bands from the period vanished. That said, this is probably my favorite Korn album since untouchables (an album I adored) so people who do feel Korn fell off the beaten path a little, may like this one more. This album is heavy in places, but also melodic, it's a nice balance. I think my favorite track currently is "when you're not there" but pretty much every song on the album holds its own. Bottom line, Korn are still a great band, if you're a long time fan, you probably know what to expect. Just buy this and enjoy. If you're a new fan or not even aware of the band but like good/loud music. Buy this and enjoy.

Exceptional album!
This latest offering from Korn seems to be an album with hit after hit, each track could easily be a single. Jonathan sounds better than ever. Varied vocal styles again and an impressive range. Always welcome. Ray is really in full swing and is an excellent fit with Korn, excellent drumming on this album. Ray really stands out! Munky really has found his stride again complimenting Head. Head is on form. Fieldy sounds invigorated. Fantastic powerful album from start to finish! 4th album with Ray and its another winner! 4 in a row is good going!

Fantastic album
This is the best Korn album in years full stop! The production is thus that even turned up to 11 there isn't much distortion at all... Seriously though, even if you're a passing fan, give your speakers a good workout & get this album! JD sounds on great form & I bet the Head had a great time! Rays' drumming is amazing(so under rated) Fieldys' bass ain't no good for the car speakers & Munkys' just such a fine musician. Yes I am a fan but that's the best part! 5 * album 5 * band ; ARE YOU READY........... GO!

Didn't expect such a good sounding vinyl with only the single LP as oppossed to the 2 LP treatment with Korns first 6 albums. This album is Korns best work since the underrated "Take a Look in the Mirror".
