Sealed well BUT
Used to seal main burn chamber door of englander 25 epi , the glue that came was just barely enough and had started to breakdown as ounce opened clear liquid came out at first ..so maybe try to massage the tube before opening OR better just buy some preferably local . Anyhow was able to get glued in BUT let it set overnight with door tightly shut prior to starting .. been almost 3 months now and no problems !.

So far, so good
Arrived when expected, packed well. Gasket looks good. Put in on my wood stove, went pretty well. Glue was pretty sticky though. Haven't fired it up yet so if anything goes awry there will be follow up. Kidding about the glue.

Cement was to dry and hard to use
The seal seems or great quality but the cement was unusable. I don't have time to deal with the return policy, so I'm just going to eat the cost and buy the cement from someone else. Im not one to give a negative review, stuff happens, just want people to beware.

total failure, waste of time and money
The adhesive was so hard it wouldn't come out of the tube. After much hassle I was able to work some out and troweled enough on the clean metal surface to get the gasket to stay put while I put the stove door back on and closed it. There were no gluing instructions included so I searched online and found some other similar adhesive instructions on curing, slowly bringing the stove up to temperature etc. I did all that. The stove was efficient and worked great for a few days then the gasket just started coming off. Within 2 days it all separated and fell off. Now I'm stuck with grinding/wire wheeling the residual adhesive off and trying something different.

great replacement
The seal on our wood stove was shot, did the dollar bill test and pulled it out easily. After replacement I would have to tear the bill in half to get it out. This has certainly slowed down our burn times so the fire last longer into the night.Next up is replacing the seal on the glass in the door, then the stove should be nearly air tight for a nice slow burn that last hours.Super easy to install, pull the old rope seal, clean out the door of old glue, apply a bead of high temp glue and gently push the rope into place, let set for an hour then use a fire to cure (follow directions in your kit)

Adhesive
Ropes fine, the adhesive on the other hand, impossible to squeeze out without breaking it open. Had to throw it out and order the tube stuff that can go into a caulking gun. ORDER SEPARATELY.

Clear instructions, works well
It was my first time replacing the gasket on my stove door--worked like a charm (great videos on youtube with tips on getting out the old glue and how to proceed). The glue for this is NASTY--wear thick gloves (I had only one pair of latex gloves and it wasn't enough protection) but overall, easy to do.

Gasket
Rope was perfect and cost $60 less than from the stove dealer! Need I say more!

Adhesive application is difficult...wear gloves and cover the walls.
Adhesive comes in a metal toothpaste tube, so small leaks develop when you knead the tube to mix the adhesive. So you will (likely) not get it fully mixed, and squeezing the tube results in either paste the right consistency or paste like water or paste so thick the nozzle plugs. No fun. When I realized this was how it was to be I squirted the remainder of the tube into a small cup and mixed it all up, applying it with a small spatula. This then went fast with no dripping/spraying/plugging goop.Time will tell if it holds, it's stuck on good right now. Yes it holds, mixing it in the cup did not effect adhesion.Put down drop sheets, wear old clothes and definitely wear gloves.

Don't buy item with the glue !!!
The gasket itself is ok'..it does the jobHowever the glue supplied is garbage !! Left a feedback for seller 4 days ago and still no contact. I had to go out & spend $13 on a glue that worked. The supplied one almost would not come out of tube and WILL NOT bond to the bare metal (prepped properly). It simply gets hard and falls off.Buy gasket only then get your own glue.BTW...I believe this glue IS NOT legal in Canada in it's current packaging form (no ingredients listed, no use instructions, no french) nor do they provide any instructions on it's use. Will never buy this combo again !
