To start, if you are on the fence about buying this sharpener because you are concerned about how your pencils will perform you can stop here and purchase the sharpener, I have never used such sharp pencils in my life.This sharpener came secure in small plasic cases and was not damaged in shipping. The machine quality of this sharpener and the keychain I purchased is unbelieveable. Smooth textured surfaces and perfectly beveled edges, nothing sharp where it shouldnt be ;). The stainless steel blade made by KUM was not mounted properly and I needed to unscrew it with a T9 star bit and properly set it into place. Before I properly mounted the blade it would snap my pencil head off every time while sharpening.After I started using this to sharpen my pencils at school I fell in love. Always on my belt, always avaliable, and always produced extremely fine well angled pencil tips. I also use this to sharpen crayola colored pencils and it makes quick work of them.I will say I reccomend grabbing the magnetic attachment (pictured) by KeyUnity as well because I dont imagine it is too fun to detach your key ring and jingle your keys around every time you need to sharpen.

After using this daily for about a week I can say that this sharpener is good. It does sharpener to what I would call a medium point, not a long point. It is very well made, solid, made from solid titanium. Changeable Kum blade easy to clean chips from. So the question is….is it worth the asking price? If you want only one sharpener, this would be it. I have a huge collection of sharpeners, and this ranks in the top 3 easily. Number one, for me would be M+R Pollux long point concave sharpener.

Does it sharpen your pencil? Yes. But there are compromises. First, it’s just much too high priced for what you receive. Most importantly to me, I am not fond of the sharpened pencil tip results. I am used to a long pointy tip and that’s the type of tip I prefer to write with. This sharpener leaves a short tip. Just like the miniature pencils they handed out at the mini golf places I used to go to when I was younger. The tip becomes dull, losing its point fairly quickly. In addition, the shavings stick to the sharpener. Had it cost a lot less, I would have kept it for quick use for my purse pencil.

This Key Unity keychain pencil sharpener is an absolute gem! Compact yet mighty, it delivers a perfect point every time I need to write. The sturdy metal construction has survived months on my keyring without a scratch. Surprisingly comfortable to grip despite its small size, and the shavings stay neatly contained until I can dispose of them. I'm never caught with a dull pencil anymore! Not cheap, but the best sharpener I've found. Produces uniform pencil taper and point.

Unbelievably lame! $35 waist of money. The FREE plastic pencil sharpener that came with a pack of pencils I bought while waiting for this one to arrive works amazing.
