Good real sword
Good sword. I test this sword on my backyard trees many times. Cut clear 1 inch apple tree branch no problem. No chips on the blade, no surface scratch like new. 👍

Made fairly well. Get what you pay for.
It's made fairly well and it looks nice but the finer details and fit are lacking. 1045 if quenched properly can perform but it's not the greatest steel to use.. Thats in the description tho so you are informed before buying and should know what you're getting. The kassaki and boshi wasn't sharp at all literally not formed to a cutting edge and dull like a butter knife. The rest of the sword seemed put together but the Tsuka & Kashira could have been better fitted. Saya is very basic. No thrills or frills there. It's a sub 150 dollar sword. Good for practice and light cuts.

GREAT FOR AMAZON!
For this wakizashi being something sold on Amazon, it’s well worth the money(should probably be priced higher actually). This traditional Japanese short sword is an absolute steal. I’ve actually used it several times against cardboard boxes and fruit. My cousins have yet to break it when I let em hold it(which is good). I would personally recommend sharpening it yourself if you want it ultra sharp, but it comes with a decent edge on it straight outta the tube(it came in a rather sturdy cardboard tube and held in place with packing styrofoam rings) so I’m satisfied with it as-is. 10/10 recommend this wakizashi if you’re trying to get a full (katana + wakizashi + tanto) set.

Mistaken identity, but I can't give it up.
So maybe I'm an idiot, buying based on the picture... But I expected a shirasaya style damascus tanto, and recieved a beautiful wakizashi instead. I'm not returning it, since I did eventually want a wakizashi, I'm just on a bit of a tanto obsession right now. Plus, my collection only just beginning, this is my first sword with a hamon. Still I am very disappointed that I couldn't get that damascus tanto, since I'd been having trouble finding a shorter dagger, in that style, that fit my tastes.. until seeing the *pictures* of the "bamboo" product.

Two handed wakizashi!
Nice looking little blade. The longer handle on it allows for one or two handed use. There are 2 pins in the handle so I'm thinking it's full tang. The blade itself has nice proportions, with the balance about 3 inches in front of the tsuba (guard), 1.5 inches in front of the habaki (brass in front of the guard). Bohi (groove) runs most of the length of the blade. After I cleaned the shipping grease off I noticed it was sharp, but not too sharp. The ito (wrap) is cotton, tied tightly. The saya (scabbard) is of decent quality and locks the blade in nicely. Overall great value for the price, I would buy it again.

Not a bad decoration. It’s not a combat sword.
I like it. It’s pretty solidly constructed. The length of the blade is what drove me to purchase it.

Great impulse buy. Just make sure you read the name before you buy
I decided I wanted to buy a samurai sword so I did. This thing came packaged super well, it fits in the sheath perfectly, and the little engravings and stuff look absolutely stunning. The sword didn't arrive hair shaving sharp, and had a hard time with the paper test, but it'll go cleanly through a water bottle if you swing it. That's fine by me since I just bought this sword to mess around with. But if you want this thing razor sharp, you wouldn't have to sharpen it often because this sword holds it's edge really well. The only reason I give it four stars is because the company uses the same photo for the Katana and the Wakizashi, and i ended up buying this one on accident thinking it was the katana listing.

Perfect budget sword for personal use
Perfect budget sword for personal use. Just keep in ming that if you purchase this sword the handle may not seem like its going to last in extreme weather conditions, but as long as you take care of it or wrap it up or dowse it in maybe somekind of hardening liquid substance you might prolong the life of your handle. Overall the blade is scary sharp it came with no rollovers or chips or anything of such. And i recommend if your going to take this out for long term use you may want to also wrap the wooden sheath as well with some kind of combat readiness in mind .
