Nice 16MP camera
Installed into Windows 11 easily. Very nice resolution. Bought this for use with Lightburn on my Laser. 170° is TOO wide and gave Lightburn fits. After fooling with calibration in Lightburn a couple hours, I got it to calibrate and it works GREAT. If you need a nice WIDE angle camera this is it! If you want for laser and Lightburn, get one that's less then 150° FOV.

Excellent Fisheye Camera for DIY Projects
This fisheye camera has proven to be an excellent addition to my workbench, particularly for my upcoming Arduino-based projects. The standout features are its simple USB connectivity and the impressive quality of the fisheye lens. Setting up the camera was a breeze; it connected instantly via USB without any driver issues. The picture quality is surprisingly clear and sharp, especially considering the wide-angle view provided by the fisheye lens. This clarity is crucial for accurate image processing in robotics applications. I'm particularly excited to integrate this camera into my custom Roomba project, where the wide-angle lens will be invaluable for mapping and navigating the environment. The combination of easy connectivity, great image quality, and fisheye functionality makes this camera an ideal choice for DIY enthusiasts and robotics hobbyists. I'm confident this camera will provide the visual input needed to create a truly useful and intelligent Roomba. Highly recommended.

Great picture, but slow
This image from this camera is very clear, but it has a very significant motion blur. Using the Windows 10 Camera application I made a short video in the 1080p mode. The video mode only supports 30fps, and you can see from the video that any movement blurs. When the image is stationary, you can see how good the image is. So, this camera is best used for taking stationary pictures, or videos with very little movement. The camera supports a great number of video and megapixel sizes, and the fisheye lens allows for a large periphery. This camera would not be a good choice as a security camera for recording purposes, but it would be good for something like door entry. The price at the time of this review is $69.99, which I can understand for the 4K, but not for the performance and is why I only give it 4 stars.

An interesting little project camera... video only I guess.
Starting with... I couldn't figure out how to get a 16MP shot out of the camera. I used the recommended software, and I followed the directions and I couldn't get anything larger than a 800x600 photo. It bombs out on 1280x720, 1920x1080 and anything above. Which is a shame because the video is somewhat nice in good lighting. It's not quite the level of my smartphone, but it's definitely better than any of the PCB cameras I've been exposed to. I was thinking of using this to try and retrofit in an old rangefinder film camera, but I'm not entirely sure how that'd shake out without being able to take photos. Maybe it's just the software? But, what are the chances that some code I could write could do a better job than the softer that the manufacturer suggested I use?

Quite Small and as Advertised
Seems like a decent plug and play camera with no issues in build quality or useability. Would recommend to try it out.

High Res Embedded Camera
Product Reviewed: 16MP USB Camera Module 170° Wide Angle M12 for $70 TL;DR; High resolution; 10-30 fps in testing; good optics; replaceable lens fixed with potting compound I’ve given up on commercial “web” (really proprietary cloud) cams to a great extent and I’m in the process of replacing cameras with more open home brew solutions. I’ve reviewed a few of this brand “ELP” and not been disappointed. This particular version has a very wide angle lens and Video for Linux reports resolutions/frame rates from 4Kx10fps to 1080px30fps all very adequate for my purposes. $70 for a raw board doesn’t seem all that attractive price wise but the optics are good by my eye and the lens is replaceable if you want to break the potting compound seal on the threads (see pics). Although I think there are better values this is everything is says it is. 5 Stars. How I review: Reviews start with 5 stars and I subtract points. - 0 for value but I try to provide guidance -0.5 to -3 for product not matching description e.g. stainless steel is actually plated steel -0.5 to -3 for product missing badly on execution I select products carefully so low (1-3 scores) are rare but detailed comments and critiques almost always are in the review. Most of my reviews come out 4-5 range. If possible I dismantle or destroy items to examine inner workings.

Makes a great webcam for zoom calls
I wanted to find an alternative to using my GoPro as a webcam for meetings. Because of my home office setup, a commercial webcam is not ideal as it tends to be designed to sit on top of the monitor. I wanted something small, so I could stand in front of my monitor at eye level. This was a great solution. The camera comes without any enclosure, so it's easy to fabricate one for it. I plugged it into the USB, and my laptop instantly recognized it and connected. The picture quality is great, a nice wide-angle view and it works well in relatively low light levels. I'm sure there are many other uses for this, but it worked out of the box for me.

Amazing resolution and coverage
I use a USB camera on a Raspberry Pi 3B+ running Octoprint for my two 3D printers. I've had a standard USB camera in this setup for years and the resolution was passable but not great. I just replaced that old camera with this 16mp wide angle camera and I'm blown away by the improvement. The picture quality is sharp, bright, and easily shows both of my printers in the same shot. I'm super happy with it. Note that you'll have to make a housing for the camera as it's just mounted on a circuit board. But if you're buying something like this I would guess that you are a maker and that is not an issue.
