It absolutely does contain fiberglass!!

Q: Is the mesh fabric cover removable and washable?

Yes, it is. You can just take out the cover from the bottom with the zipper feature.

Q: Would you recommend the 8” or 12”?

I purchased the 8” and it is wonderful.

Q: Is this mattress firm or very soft?

Nor too plush nor too firm. It is right on the middle.
