It's a DDR4 2400MHZ.. DO NOT BUY IT FOR LAPTOP WHICH HAVE HIGHER SPEED.
Works like charm in my hp Pavillion 15 ec series, an entry level. Games run much smoother. Cad and other 3d software runs better, performance improved.Note: I got a Samsung's 980 1 tb nvme ssd installed. It is upgraded to it's fullest.Also remember to reapply the thermal paste on cpu, gpu, time to time. Clean the fans, dust it out. Use paint brush if you don't have compressed air can. This little dyi will surprise you.
