Grape Cure
I have been looking at many alternative methods for fighting cancers because I have found the allopathic method to not work on several people lately. Not to mention that the allopathic doctors missed some very obvious signs on 3 of the peopleI found this book interesting and it seems that, given more recent scientific research information on grapes, that it might be something to incorporate into a cancer protocol when using natural methods.I appreciated the book and enjoyed hearing the woman's story. I read in another review that she seemed to ramble on, but I felt the way the story was told was very honest and natural.

complete waste of money and time
I'm horrified that Amazon would even sell such a "book". This woman rambles on and on in this completely unorganized book. The ramblings are VERY weird and unnerved me that there was such a person out there able to publish "books". The writing sounded like she was high on meth / pot or some type of drug. Her recommendations and the way she basically "cured" her "cancer" (it was unproven whether she had cancer or not, but it's hard to make sense of it the way she rambles so incoherently) was to fast (only water) for 3+ weeks, and then eat only grapes for quite a few months after that. WHAT??? This is a joke, right?? That can't possibly be healthy for anyone, especially someone sick with cancer. I think you'd die from it even if you were healthy to start. Read the first page that rambles and it only gets WAYyyyyy worse after that. Don't waste your money. I'm disgusted that I did. (I've never written an Amazon review before but absolutely had to for this one. I'll be happy if I save even one person from this nut case)

a very valuable book
I have read this book many years ago, but it wasn't the first time I heard of a grape cure. Ancient Greeks used it, it is still used in Germany and Austria, I experienced it in Tyrol, for instance, where they have wonderful grapes.I've been doing small grape cures every year, when the grape season comes. I don't suffer from anything in particular, I do it as a regular detox. I feel wonderful, energetic and in a good mood; my skin becomes smooth and vibrant, every single pimple is gone, evacuation is normalized and I shed some unwanted weight too. I've never had any side effects, even when using it for two weeks, which is my maximum. You just have to be careful not to overeat, grapes are so delicious! Although nowadays it is important to eat organic grapes (purple ones are best), with the skins and the seeds (this I don't do, but if I were a cancer patient I sure would). And the water should be filtered, purified, so that all chlorine and pesticides are removed.I know nothing about it curing cancer, but in healthy people (who don't suffer from diabetes or such)who have minor little problems a grape cure can only be beneficial. There are people who wait for something to be "scientifically proved" to endorse it, without listening to the thousands of people testifying that it works. Yes, it's like homeopathy. It cannot be proven why it works, but it works anyway. Moreover, the book is cheap, so you are not risking anything. By the way, if you go to huldaclarkzappers com you will find the method outlined without purchasing the book, and it also includes many helpful tips on dealing with things unheard of in Dr. Brandt's time, such as pesticides on grapes, chlorinated water, and the scientific facts behind the diet. Hulda Clark Zappers on the aforementioned site says that water fast starves the cancer cells and then you give them the cancer-killing resveratol, so they fall on it hungrily. Hmmm, interesting. It sure makes sense. It's much better than many costly programs with pills and chemicals you know nothing about. At least this is a natural food. You are certainly not risking malnutrition if you only do it for a week or two, and you can also go on working normally, as the sugars in the grapes give you a lot of energy.I'm not saying all M.D.s are in bad faith: there are many who sincerely believe this is quackery: because of their frameset they are not ready to accept anything they didn't learn in medical school. However, I also feel the suspicion and slander from the part of some medical people come less from real conviction and more from the fact that if all people adopted natural cures they'd be out of a job.

The Grape Cure is old but still relevant information
30 years ago I participated in the Grape Cure diet with a friend who had lymph cancer. After the removal of a lymph tumor, he developed cigar size tumors in the lymph glands under the arms and at the groin line. They completely disappeared after following the Grape Cure fast! Unfortunately my friend was not willing to stay on a raw foods diet, as indicated by the author, and within a year he was dead. I have never forgotten this book, and I was really please to see it was still available though written in 1920. It may not work for everyone, but if I had cancer, I would definately choose grapes over death. If you at all subscribe to "you are what you eat" then you will see the simple logic in purifying this way.

Now Scientically Proven
This book originally written in 1920s by Dr. Johanne Brandt is fantastic. Although the reason why red grape juice can cure cancers remained unknown for more than seven decades until 1997, the major anti-cancer ingredient in this grape is now known: a polyphenol called "resveratrol" (R3).It inhibits a Tyr-kinase called Syk, which is essential for the activation of several oncogenic kinases such as PAK and AKT. Since PAK is essential for the growth of more than 70% of human cancers, red grape juice, red wine, R3 or its derivatives could cure these PAK-dependent cancers. It is also known now that R3 is useful for the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases such as NF (neurofibromatosis), Alzheimer's (AD), Huntington's (HD) and ALS.So it would be worth reading this book, just to get a general idea, although the book itself does not tell you much of science (molecular biology of cancer) behind this "miracle" cure. However, I don't think the "fast" a wise approach. Fast should be replaced by a more moderate approach such as "low" (70%) calorie diet.
