I used this for a shoot with a client who said it was very good. I would say it’s better suited for viewing up to around 2 meters anymore you may struggle to see the text clearly. If your use fits this is a great value cheap teleprompter

This is the third teleprompter I've tried as an upgrade to the smaller Desview one I've been using. The other prompters (all around the same price point), though aluminium, felt cheap and nasty - signs of stripped threads, rough bolts that didn't turn smoothly, use of Philips screws (with slothead screwdriver supplied!) and ugly design.I've used other Smallrig equipment (cages and tripod mounts) and always been happy, but this is exceptionally well designed. Everything feels premium - there's an all-metal glass cover/sun shield, fitting for a lens filter and plenty of adjustment. Though designed for an iPad, my 10-inch field monitor attaches easily and sturdily. The hood (which has a nice carbon-fibre effect finish) and glass attaches with magnets (to align) and solid side levers (see photo), and can be easily detached for cleaning without disturbing the rest of the setup. It genuinely feels like a product worth twice as much.The only thing to consider is that it needs a good LWS baseplate for the camera as a separate purchase - I used the height-adjustable Smallrig 2092 and some 15mm rods - which adds a bit more cost, and it needs a fairly heavy-duty tripod head and stand, but I've rarely been so impressed by a bit of kit.

SmallRig have great products and I have quite a range of them myself. As an owner-operator looking for good value in a teleprompter which I don’t normally use day to day, I was attracted by two features that most in this budget do not have. The first is the ability to quickly and easily attach this lightweight teleprompter on 15mm bars and the second feature is the ability to use PV size filters. This teleprompter has superior build quality to others in this price range, but for me, it has one major flaw. I can see a reflection of the teleprompter internals (which is around the filter tray area) in the picture when filming with a backlight, even if the backlight isn’t very strong. This is because the area I’m seeing in the teleprompter is slightly less black than the rest of the teleprompter internals. This issue is exacerbated by the fact that the camera can only be mounted quite far from the mirror. Normally I am able to get the lens quite close to the mirror on other teleprompters I've used. You might just get away with this issue in most cases but for me even if there is a small chance of this happening it is not worth risking. It would be horrifying to find out halfway through a PTC that you can see reflections in the picture. It may not even be visible at first but you can imagine if the sun comes through the window later on in the background then you have an issue. Because of the extra distance, you really need to make sure that both sides of that mirror are squeaky clean, even more so than with other teleprompters. I think SmallRig could redesign this better to allow the camera to be mounted as close as possible to the glass and to also ensure the internal parts are as dark as possible to reduce this issue although I think this might come with the cost of being able to use a PV sized filter which was one of the two selling points for me. I’m now going to return this as it is not for me which is a shame because it has great potential.

Der Teleprompter kommt im schönen Softcase, der allerdings sehr groß ist, was ich nicht so geil finde. Aber wenigstens ist alles gut geschützt.Material ist soweit Smallrig Standard sehr gut. Aufbau geht zügig und intuitiv.Es heißt Objektive bis 95mm Filterumfang passen drauf, allerdings hab ich meinem Sony 28-135mm f4 andere Erfahrungen gemacht. Hab da lange rumgewurschtelt und es nicht geschafft den Gummiteil über das Objektiv zu stülpen. Ich denke nicht, dass 95mm Objektive raufpassen.Mein Sigma 24-70mm mit 82mm hat gepasst, aber auch schon eher knapp. Ich denke 90mm ist die effektive Grenze.Preislich ist es im Vergleich zu No-Name Telepromptern teurer, aber lieber etwas mehr ausgeben als so ein billiges Ding, welches schnell kaputt geht.Mein 10 Zoll Tablet passte einfach in die Halterung rein.Die App und die Fernbedienung hab ich noch nicht getestet.Insgesamt sehr zufrieden und empfehlenswert.

Jak już wspomniano we wcześniejszej recenzji, mocowanie tabletu jest zbyt blisko. U siebie zastosowałem dodatkowo mikrogłowicę kulową pomiędzy mocowaniem tabletu, a podpórką mocującą i dopiero wtedy umiejscowienie tabletu jest właściwe względem lustra. Ponadto dzięki temu mam możliwość większej regulacji położenia promptera na prętach i ustawienia kąta tabletu. Używam iPada Mini (gen. 5 z touch ID). Wielkość liter w aplikacji Small GoGo i tempo przesuwania ustawiam blisko maksimum, aby było czytelne dla lektorki i własciwe tempo podawania tekstu.Aby używać tego promptera koniecznie trzeba mieć zestaw do mocowania na prętach 15 mm wraz z odpowiednią podstawą pod kamerę - najlepiej z możliwością regulacji wysokości podstawy. Istnieje jednak pewien zakres regulacji wysokości promptera względem obiektywu.Kiedy już uda się wszystko skompletować i zmontować, wtedy działa bardzo dobrze. Bardzo przydatna jest możliwość odłączenia przodu i przez to dostęp do filtra vari-nd nakręconego na obiektyw, aby regulować. Nie każdy tani prompter daje taką możliwość, a bez tego praca byłaby bardzo niewygodna. Można też używać drogich, profesjonalnych filtrów prostokątnych w uchwycie - osobiście tego jeszcze nie próbowałem, ale wydaje się wygodne. Jest miejsce na jeden filtr.Całość wykonana z dobrego materiału - dobrej jakości plastiku, metalu i szkła. Nie sprawia wrażenia taniej tandety, która szybko rozpadnie się w rękach. Dołączony pilot blutooth działa z moim iPadem i aplikacją Small GoGo, ale jeszcze nie zrozumiałem jak dokładnie się nim posługiwać. Aplikacja jest częściowo w języku chińskim.Należy wiedzieć, że zastosowane lustro weneckie zabiera część światła - dotyczy wszystkich podobnych prompterów.Najważniejsze, że wyświetlany na tablecie tekst w żadem sposób nie przebija do nagrywanego obrazu - jakość obrazu jest bardzo dobra.Dobra walizeczka wyłożona tworzywem do przechowywania i transportu promptera.Sądzę, że może służyć wiele lat.

Tout est parfait sauf le logiciel de Prompteur, en effet, il est en partie en Chinois et en Anglais, mais le gros HIC, il ne permets pas d'avoir l'effet miroir pour pouvoir lire sur le Prompteur mécanique accroché à la caméra.Il existe pleins de logiciel gratuit, j'en ai trouvé un sans pouvoir utiliser la télécommande Bluetooth. "P....t" marque de drone.Base où repose le smartphone ou tablette est extensible, via un petit bouton caché, pas de soucis d'adaptation.

Grazie ad Amazon Vine ho avuto la possibilità di provare questo nuovissimo prodotto di casa Smallrig e confesso che questo marchio mi lascia sempre a bocca aperta ogni volta!Tralascio il punto relativo al "a cosa serve" visto che sicuramente è un argomento noto a chiunque stia leggendo questa recensione... mi vorrei soffermare invece sulla qualità di questo kit che unisce un prezzo di acquisto davvero super (rispetto a prodotti analoghi) ad una realizzazione praticamente perfetta sotto ogni punto di vista.Confesso di averlo provato solo per una decina di minuti ma sono rimasto impressionato dalla assoluta trasparenza del vetro che funge da "gobbo" senza influenzare minimamente la qualità delle riprese.Se siete alla ricerca di un "gobbo" moderno allora direi che questo è sicuramente un ottimo compagno di lavoro!Spero che questa recensione vi sia stata utile.

Der Teleprompter ist solide und stabil mit der Kamera verbunden. Dies ist ein erheblicher Vorteil gegenüber dem von SmallRig angebotenen Vorgängermodell.Allerdings ist der Teleprompter für zahlreiche wichtige (!) Anwendungsfälle schlicht nicht ausgereift. Wenn man ein normales Tablet benutzt (hier: Galaxy Tab S5e - definitv ohne besonders schmalen Rand) und erreichen möchte, dass aus normaler Blickposition (Augen auf der Höhe der Mitte des Objektivs) der komplette Bildschirm eines Computers inkl. unterem Bereich (-> Taskleiste) sichtbar ist, funktioniert das nicht. Der untere Bereich wird nämlich abgeschnitten (erstes Foto). Selbst wenn man die Tablet-Halterung maximal nach oben bewegt (in der Position kann man die Halterung nicht lassen, weil dann die Klappe nicht zu öffnen bzw. zu verschließen ist), bleibt ein erheblicher Teil des unteren Bildrandes abgeschnitten. Der Grund ist, dass das Tablet horizontal weiter weg von der Kamera in Richtung Nutzer verschoben sein müsste (zweites Foto). Das erlaubt die Konstruktion aber nicht.Im eine halbwegs akzeptable Lösung zu finden, habe ich mit ein pfeilförmiges Distanzstück gebaut (drittes Foto). Dabei muss man immer hoffen, dass das Tablet dann nicht nach oben aus der gefederten Halterung herausspringt.Aktualisierung: Nach einer kurzen Pause gab es einen sehr konstruktiven und sachlichen Dialog mit SmallRig. Dies hat zur einer Rücknahme kurz nach Ablauf der eigentlichen Rücknahmefrist geführt. Das finde ich vorbildlich - mehr kann SmallRig spontan sicherlich nicht tun.Ich bin sicher, dass SmallRig das Produkt entsprechend verbessern wird und werde es neu erwerben, sobald eine verbesserte Version zur Verfügung steht. Für Nutzer mit anderen Anforderungen (z. B. wenn kein kompletter Tablet-Bildschirm sichtbar sein muss, sondern nur Schrift scrollen soll), wäre das Produkt natürlich auch in der derzeitigen Fassung schon prima, weil solide und stabil.
