We have a combination of older and newer iPhones in our family. This works well when switching back and forth, depending on who is driving. The one issue we have is that the end with the older USB plug that goes into the car often pulls loose with the adapter at that end. If you only need the Lightning/USB C end, look for one that doesn't have an adapter on the other end to avoid this problem.

I have been looking for a USB Type C and Lighting cable and did not like the options I found. Too many of them had Micro USB adapter, multiple cable ports which made them bulky or did not transfer data for CarPlay. My wife has USB type C port and I still have lighting port so I got tired of having multiple cables for the car.This one won me over with the compactness and braided wire. When I received the product I was amazed with how durable it felt. The other one I was considering was by Anker but that one had three cable ports, was made of silicone, and was more expensive at $16 while this one costs $6.The cable does support Car Play and I have not any issues with after a week of use. Very please with the brand and will likely consider them in the future if I need any new cables.

my all around cable charge for my phone, legion go and laptop. The cable supports upto 65watts so I get to take advantage of the fast charging. The quality of the cable is also nice as it is braided and very sturdy. I have 3 of these as i use it for 2 cars and i keep one inside my lenovo legion for travel charging.
