Used this to power kids' laptops when working on the kitchen table. Looked good, but completely stopped working after less than three weeks of light use.

I ordered this as I was looking for a compact extension lead to reach from my plug socket to the bay window.It measured 170cm but the cable didn’t have a lot of tension on it, so I would say it meets the specified measurements of 180.It’s lighter than I expected and it’s not that smooth in retracting or extending the cable. I’m not saying it’s cheaply made but I’ve had more robust extension sockets, however that said it does its job.It works as expected and it has a power button on the unit to save me clambering behind the chair each night to isolate the power supply. The feature I took most into consideration was that it included three in-built usb ports, perfect as the majority of the devices I wished to power were not plugs.I’m happy with this, so far so good, however it’s early days! I saw this on Vine, and as I am always short of extensions, I thought why not.Then, looking at the rather bad reviews, I wondered if I should cancel the order, and I'm really glad I didn't.Ok, so as the others (and the blurb) said, it's a circular extension, with a body you can wind the cord into.You have three plugs in there, as well as 3 USB A ports, and a on/off switch in the middle (you can't miss it being on as it lights up in blue).But the elephant in the room that hasn't been mentioned yet (or that I completely missed, that happens) is that it's not just UK plugs you can use in there, it accepts a LOT of foreign plugs too (so far I've tested a Chinese, EU and US one, but I'm sure it takes more from the varied shapes).So for someone like me who has tons of tech chargers from abroad, it's a life saver.I don't know about longevity, as one reviewer said that might be an issue, but the thing feels well made so fingers crossed (and if it dies I'll update the review accordingly)Altogether a rather cool, super useful extension for folk with foreign kit, highly recommended

I find this handy, not just as a muti-socket plug and USB socket hub, but because of the retractable lead, i can use it as a hub near a socket, or get it closer to me if i need to use something not next to the socket. The lead isn't going to get it to the other side of the room or anything, but it's longer than you'll get on non lead or your avarage socket hub. The twisting action to retract the lead is smooth and easy.The negative is, the plug on seems really small; so small in fact that I'm not sure if there is a fuse in it, which makes me apprehensive about using this..

This storage socket has just less than a 2-metre lead and is not water resistant, so it is for inside use only. I have used it to tidy up the leads in the room that is used as a sewing room come office. The white colour blends in well with the surroundings and I have been able to plug all the items that she uses into it and shorten the cable to just the necessary length to make it all neat and tidy with no trip wires. Having USB charging on this extension lead is very useful as more and more items we own are USB rechargeable, yet only rooms that we have modernised in the last few years have USB charging ports built into the mains sockets. This is a very useful addition to our home environment.

I really liked the look of the design of this compact, round extension socket, but I was disappointed with the item I received.The plug socket I received is dirty and marked, and the plug scuffed and scratched.The lead itself is scuffed in several places, especially where it enters the body of the charging socket.As I’m not happy with the socket I received I am wary of using it with my electrical devices, so I don’t feel I can give a review.
