JINHAO DADAO 9019 Fountain Pen Acrylic Ink Pen with Ink Converter (Fine Nib, Transparent)

This is a great looking chunky to hold pen. It writes really well straight from the pack. I got the transparent as I put looks rather unusual. Overall very pleased with how this pen works.

I have the black 9019, got the demonstrator, holds lots of ink & writes great. I like the no.8 nib, absolute bargain

I found the ink skipped a lot at first but it just wants wearing in. Now it is fine.

disgraceful - shipped an old scruffy pen. Now I have to deal with a return. SO ANGRY.

When I flushed it out with water before using it, the liquid in the converter turned blue. I found this surprising but recognise it might be down to test ink from the factory, as some pens are tested in this way before shipping. However, the end of the barrel is scratched and blemished, and most of it is shiny but a portion is matt. Of course, this is very cheap for a proper fountain pen and so one can hardly expect Mont Blanc quality but, as another recent reviewer has said, it feels like I am getting a used pen rather than a new pen.

The pen is easy to fill but doesn't flow nicely - you have to keep on pushing the ink down manually, which is a bit disappointing.
