I was skeptical when trying to find the right camera for my needs. This little camera is pretty impressive. And the price is surprisingly great! Set up in minutes. It just works better than I was expecting. I use it to monitor my pets when I am away. The motion detection and alerts are responsive.The images is very clear and I recommend using the UHD resolution. Even at night, the camera produces pretty clear images in very low light. I can watch chipmunks at probably 60 feet away with no issues, and read license plates at a similar distance. Occasionally real-time motion is a little delayed, and watching something moving quickly isn't particularly clear, but for the size and cost of this thing it is very good.Night vision is better than I expected, although it is better in a smaller space where the infrared spotlight can actually light things up. Trying to look into the distance outside with night vision is not nearly as clear as an indoor room or a garage. It does see my entire two-stall 30-foot-deep garage though in pitch blackness.Connecting with the app only me about one minute and it is flawless. I have never had the camera fail to connect when I wanted to look. There is occasionally a momentary freeze in the stream but not enough to affect the usefulness of the camera.The little stand that comes with it is a magnetic one that holds the camera and sticks to stuff with some 3M adhesive. So far the stand works wonderfully. The adhesive is very strong, I mount the camera upside down to watch the driveway and I can just reach up and pull the camera off the stand without worrying about it un-sticking from the ceiling.I did expect it to be a bit larger, but it is definitely smaller. It's probably the size of 1 or 2 tic tac containers or zippos. I can easily close my hand around it in my palm.I plan to attach this to a helmet and record skiing videos, but the limited shutter speed will likely produce ho-hum videos compared to the high-speed of an iPhone or GoPro. If I fall and trash this, well I'm only out $40 - - a lot better than being out $400. Oh, and this is way lighter than a GoPro. We'll see. The magnetic holder is nice and there are multiple options. The camera has a magnet behind the back plate.Overall I'm impressed enough with this nice little camera. Battery life, image quality, motion alerts, night vision and ease of use would be worth it at twice the price. I plan to buy 1 or two more, since they are affordable, to monitor the back room behind a complex aquarium system. I want to monitor liquid levels in several containers as well as some instruments when I'm away from the system on long trips. So far so good!

Everything is great up until it says to sim camera at the qr code it has and it doesnt see it or connect. Tried everything a million times then return window closed. SCAM

I set up the mini cam on a window inside to act as a security camera to keep an eye on outside activities after dark. By placing it inside, that eliminates the risk of theft. (You can turn off the IR lights so it doesn’t stand out like a beacon, which lets people outside aware of its presence.) It’s compact enough that it isn’t really very noticeable sitting on the windowsill, especially since you can turn off the lights on the back of the camera through the cam app.Installation – one thing to point out, when installing the app for your camera, leave the mini cam plugged in during installation. Once I remembered to do that, it installed nicely with no hitches. Connecting to my home WiFi was smooth once I kept the camera plugged in.The picture is very good. No issues discerning objects and easy to spot movement. During the day, the colors are very rich. I love not having to get up and go check outside if I hear something that shouldn’t be there and just open the app to let the camera do my “spying.” Tech support is excellent. They are prompt to respond to emails and know what they’re doing. You can also zoom in or out, which is a nice feature.One feature I really like is, I set up the camera to keep an eye on the outside of the front door. I was able to go out and do errands and check the app to see if an expected delivery had been made at the front door.I like the fact that when you set something in the Settings, it “sticks”. With other cameras, I have had to continually reset the image quality selection each time I open the app.The video recording feature works flawlessly (with a microchip inserted in the camera). The camera will also pick up sounds in your room if you push the Voice icon. You can set it to record continuously (loop) or only when it detects motion. I have mine set to motion and also keep it plugged in 24/7 so I never have to worry about having to recharge it. It’s easy to select a video to share with someone.I would definitely recommend this camera for peace of mind.

Cool mini camera, good quality, but when it's charging, it wont turn off, I've hold the on/off button, the blue and green lights turn off and after 2 seconds, comes back on, which is kinda annoying, it turns off when not plugged, but if its plugged it has to stay aways on?????????Even the app doesn't have that option, I have 2 other cameras that has that option, and was cheaper.For some reason it doesn't save videos on sd cards.Sometimes records, Sometimes it dont, Sometimes the motion sensor works, sometimes it don't, i've reset it multiple times.... it's a mess.A bit pricier than most, so i was expecting it would be better.... but i was wrong 😕

The camera is small and cute but I could not get it to connect without the WiFi for me (as in I had to be on the same WiFi network to view through the camera) I’m sending mines back.
