Melitta Colombian Supreme Coffee, Medium Roast, Whole Bean Coffee, 5 Pound Bag

I have always loved this coffee for its rich flavor and low acidity. The only problem has been that it is only available in the 5 pound bag. It takes me a few months to get through 5 pounds and by then it is really stale and not worth drinking. I decided to try various other Colombian Supremo coffees that I could get in smaller amounts. (Colombian Supremo has long been my favorite coffee because it tastes exactly the way I want coffee to taste - no flowers, no chocolate, no acidity - just rich coffee flavor. I decided to try other supremos. I tried an organic one from my local coffee roaster but it was bland and boring. I tried Coffee Direct but it lacks richness and it too acidic. I tried Cafe Don Pablo in a two pound bag - better than coffee direct, not at all bad, but again, lacking in the richness of the Melitta. So I am going to stick with the 5 pound Melitta and freeze the beans in mason jars to preserve freshness. Every coffee has been disappointing except Melitta.Update April 14, 2021 - For a long time this coffee was not available. I emailed Melitta and was told it was discontinued. Now it's back! I hope it continues to be available. Fresh Roasted Colombian Supremo was good but it is a bit darker and more acidic than Melitta. I find Melitta is the best because it is not acidic but has rich flavor.Update: Sept. 2021 This coffee is not available from Melitta now. They told be that the Colombian coffee from the Melitta store was the same as this Colombian Supremo, but it is not nearly as good. Why can't Melitta just keep selling this Colombian Supremo?

This was a real bargain! I had not had Colombian Supreme in several years because I receive so much coffee as gifts now that I no longer wear neckties! This has the smooth, non-acidic flavor I remember! Large quantity for the money, too! Try it! The memory will become current reality, again, once you taste it.

I purchased this 5 pound whole bean Colombian Supreme whole bean coffee for a good friend of mine and he loves it. My friend said the coffee tastes better because now he can grind it to his own exact specifications. Basically he said this coffee tasted soo much better than the Melitta coffee that he has been using out of the can. So, I will keep purchasing this great tasting whole bead coffee from Melitta in these 5 pound bags. Maybe you should try it also ~~~~

I have loved and ordered this coffee for a very long time. This is the first time that it did not taste like the hazelnut decaf...it has a French vanilla overtone and I hate it. Melita...you have ruined your coffee! I stopped subscribe and save and changed coffees.

I purchased this for the price primarily as I realy like flavored coffees. I have found it to be satisfactory but not the most flavorful as compared to other brands so I'm giving it a 4 of 5 star rating.
