Reason for purchase: Keep my head warm in cold weatherI decided to try this out for a couple of reasons. First, It was so inexpensive that if I didn’t like it, I wasn’t out a lot of money. Second, it was a simple design…easy to use. Third, it was light and compact.PROS:-Inexpensive-Warm....Retains heat and blocks wind-Simple…the velcro straps make it easy to get on and off. There’s no complex wrapping as with a bandana-Adjustability… the velcro straps provide adjustability for different size heads as well as allowing you to “cinch” it down tight or leave it relaxed.CONS:-Not really sweat wicking. Will take up some sweat, but can become saturated-Doesn’t provide 100% head coverage. Up to 35% of body heat is lost through the head so if you want a “1 stop” heat loss solution, you will need to try something else, or buy a hat/cover to use in concert with this mask.-Not a good solution for sun protection due to heat retention.Sort of a con…it’s a face mask. Any abnormally paranoid individual is going to instantly wonder why someone is wearing a face mask….and if its green, brown, black, camo or has a skull printed on it, they will probably assume you’re one of those “evil” people up to no good and not someone just trying to keep warm/dry….so buy and use at your own risk. Consider getting one that’s pink with teddy bears, flowers or hearts printed on it to minimize the paranoia factor ;)Conclusion: Make sure you know what you want!!!!If you’re looking for a mask for paintball, this works, but it’s a soft mask so it will provide only minimal protection. If heat retention/winter wind protection is your primary concern, this is good, but its not a 100% solution and will have to be used in concert with a hat, or you may want to skip this product and consider a full ski-mask.If you want year round protection (keep you warm in the winter/provide sun protection in the summer) then this is not really the best option. In the year round case, you may want to consider a shemagh/bandana.Recommendation: Based on quality and function, I have no reservations recommending this product (save the potential paranoia factor). It’s a decent value

I like that the mask wraps under the chin for added ...
WOW! If you are out in winter winds and cold, for longer periods of time, this is a must-have.I have used these masks for 3 years now. I own 2 and my kids have them too.Being a runner, I was hesitant to put something over my nose and mouth, but borrowed my son's mask for a 7 degree morning run. I was able to breathe through both my nose and mouth without any problems or restrictions. The mask fits securely with a Velcro tab that will adjust to your face. I like that the mask wraps under the chin for added protection from the elements. My typical runs last about 40 to 60 minutes. In that time, my face stayed warm. I have also used it skiing and snowboarding with great results. There are also a ton of mask patterns and designs to choose from, so you can really have fun with them. The only downside to the neoprene mask is that it makes my face sweat as I run, creating frozen tears off my eyelashes (pretty much the only part of my face that is exposed). But, since the whole purpose of the mask is to keep me warm, I can't ding it for making me sweat at 7 degrees!

Creepy
I am a sucker for Zan face masks, and own 5. I walk a lot and when it is winter in Chicago, and the wind's howl, you need to have something over your face. The masks made by Zan are perfect. They are well made and sturdy. One complaint people have with masks is that they are hard to breathe in, that is not the case here or with other Zan face mask's I have. In fact, they are perfect for winter, very warm and very breathable. It is hard from seeing a mask on line how it will look on you once you get it. Though the mask is well made, this one just looks plain creepy. I would not reccomend this one for the design on it, though it is sturdy like all Zan face masks. The only caveat for any of the masks is that if you were glasses, they can be problematic. I wear glasses but usually take them off when I put a mask on. If you don't, the glasses can steam up from your breathing.

Not too shabby
Pros: Keeps you warm, many different artwork designs to choose from, easy to secure, reversible.Cons: Biggest concern is after a few days of use, one of the mouth breather holes near the nose ripped. Still usable, but a little disappointed that this happened so soon. Having a bigger neck and head makes it a bit of a tighter fit, so this might have something to do with it. Still, my grape isn't gargantuan by any means. They do make the extender for larger individuals. Something to consider if you don't want the same thing happening to yours.Overall, I'm satisfied with the product. It does what it was intended for and is very affordable. I might consider getting a second one with different artwork on it and possibly the neck extender in the future.

very good
I play airsoft and this is really going to help. I haven't used it yet, but i am tired of welts on my head and hate paintball masks. you can easily put your glasses on under them making it easier to use scopes unlike paintball masks that make it harder to get close enough to it. The mask isn't hot and would keep you warm in winter weather. Only problem so far is it is slightly harder to hear soft sounds like someone walk in leaves. I would definitely recommend to any airsoft player. I am 14 and it is very slightly large, but easily tightened.

Works just how you would hope!
Im in Afghanistan right now, and it gets down in the single digits in winter here. I bought 5 of these for the guys in my squad and they are amazing. They keep any kind of wind out, making you so much warmer than normal. Much better than a gator neck.I know for a fact Ill be using this for paintball when I head home too. Its so lightweight that it could definitely be used during summer as well. Maybe not 120degree heat, but they wouldnt be that bad for any normal summer time. One last thing. Yes, you do look as cool as you think you would in this. :)

Eagle mask
These masks (I bought the scary skeleton and the eagle one) are very warm and visibility is good too.You can breathe easily through them.I use them to cycle to work when the temp gets sub-zero or thereabouts, but only do this if you don't mind being laughed at!
