This C is a thin clear liquid that absorbs fast and easy. Totally non greasy, being pure C. Not sure whether it does miracles as I use it along with other products, usually as first layer of my a.m. regimen which of course includes spf as the last layer. I did lots of research and found this is a great value basic C considering quantity vs. price. I am not a chemist to access quality. I read that any C liquid (including C plus E etc combos) needs to be used within 45 days of opening so I imagine it will last me that long.

I am new to Vitamin C serum, so this is my first bottle. I love it! I have used glycolic acids and Retin-A, which are rather harsh to the skin and leave it in many stages of peeling. However, Vitamin C serum is extremely gentle and actually has yielded better short-term results than either of those skin solutions (I'm sure Retin-A gives better long-term results, but you have to contend with the peeling). Your skin will almost instantly seem brighter and clearer--all without the drying, burning, flaking and peeling of some harsher acids.I have even turned my husband on to this serum. Of course, he's resistant to a skin regime, especially if it means he has to take time to care for his skin. But this serum is quick and easy, and has cleared up the breakouts he gets on his chin, and has also brightened up his skin. He notices a difference, and for a man to notice any difference means it must be good!

I am a Licensed Esthetician and this is the first time EVER I have purchased my 15% Vitamin C serum on line. I am extremely cautious what I apply to my skin and I have only used Obagi C Serums purchased from Physicians offices. But due to rising costs I thought I would try one time to see difference. All reviews I have read about Obagi online products and speaking with Obagi Reps in the past (I worked Medical Skin Care) the formulas are not always the same. Always use caution but I have been very pleased so far with all products I have purchased on Amazon but again when it comes to Obagi I personally purchase from a Doctor. I received this product and it is a clear formula where Obagi C serums are a light GOLDEN color and a slightly thick formula. This formula is as fluid as water. Which I truly don't care for but it absorbs immediately. ( Hyaluronic Acid will also be clear and water like) I personally enjoy the serum silky feel of the Obagi it too absorbs immediately. I have used 15% Vitamin C for years with no irritation, this formula burns slightly for less than 30 seconds. It could be the potassium sorbate( preservative.. not happy about that) or the added citric acid.However, this brand has the Hyaluronic Acid included Obagi does not so you will see some instant plumping in fine lines and wrinkles!As for the brightening effect...is it as good as Obagi 15% ? I need to use this product for 90 days on an area that has some pigment that needs to be lightened. I will continue on my Face, Neck and Chest as my every day routine. ( Prevent any pigment from forming continue collagen building) For my 90 day test I will begin treating my arms and using a 50 SPF Daily. I will do a follow up review when I complete my 90 days or run out of the product.Rule of thumb for use of Vitamin C serums: Use ONE DROP to each area / Zone of face .Forehead, Left cheek, Right Cheek, Chin2 Drops to neck2 Drops to ChestVitamin C with continued use will brighten the skin by reducing pigment. You MUST wear a SPF every day...Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall...even when it's raining. Once pigment has formed it will always return so without SPF you are fighting a battle you will not win. BUT ADD SPF Daily as directed ...watch Vitamin C stimulate Collagen, Reduce Pigment, Bring back a beautiful glow to your skin. Do you desire to take years off your appearance just by applying a product that will have you saying saying"BYE BYE Fine lines and Age Spots!!!" ? It is made in the USA and shipped from California. So I feel better it has to go through our safety guidelines especially when it is going on my skin.

I bought it because it's affordable but you get what you pay for.It has a watery consistency and it smells like burnt cooking oil.I wouldn't mind about the smell if it worked just fine.I actually got more sun spots after using this product.The results are so not noticeable that i think this must be less than 10%I will have to stick to the expensive Obagi until I find another good substitute.
