Good replacement
Bought this unit to replace the FP715 delivered next day.Easy to take the old front panel off and fit the new FP720 to the old existing wired backplate. Quite different to the old unit but after careful reading of the instructions was up and running.All so far working well and can certainly recommend.

Good replacement but inferior programmer.
As this is a direct replacement for the FP715 SI and plugs direct on to the original backplate it was a no brainer (both my my 2 controllers blew to common fault, both lights on and blank screen on the same day after a power outage!) However this is not as user friendly as the old controller - for example if the heating is on for an auto period and you wish to turn it off (say it was a mild day) you have to change the setting from Auto to Off and then remember to change it back after the auto heating period is past! Hence only 4*s

Decent programmer which can directly replace older one.
Programmer works well and is a true drop-in replacement for the older FP715 SI Danfoss Programmer, using the same backplate without any rewiring. The only minor thing to note is that it does not offer an ‘all day’ mode (from first on to last off) for some reason, so needs to be set to Auto, or full ‘On’.

Rubbish holiday mode.
As a direct replacement it is a poor substitute. It does not have an all day mode and the holiday programme cannot be set to specific dates. Holiday mode consists of turning it off when you leave and turning it back on when you return, a fat lot of use if you want to come home to a warm house in winter. The FP715 SI was a far superior programmer in my opinion, Am very disappointed.

Does the job
Replaced the Danfoss 715 which had a corrupted display. As stated, it is a direct replacement except I found you need to be ‘robust’ when putting it on the original backplate. Haven’t set sequences yet but it looks easy enough. At the end of the day, it is a prigrammer.

As an upgrade replacement fits onto existing mounting,,using existing wiring.Very easy to program and set up, Very happy that I went to a later controller.
