IRODA MicroJet MJ-330 Blow Torch

Very handy to have in a tool kit as it has so many uses from softening /welding plastics, to heating up seized nuts and bolts, soldering joints, not so good on creme brulee !

The mechanics of using are pretty awkward. The natural hand position doesnt let you press the ignitor remotely esily. Works otherwise Pictures were all black but tiny note in description that its red

Good wee heat gun but remember this is an open flame, if used for heat shrink keep moving it otherwise it will burn.

I bought this to replace an old iroda torch. The old torch used what looks to be the same configuration as my old torch, thumb trigger, what I didn’t notice was how high the new trigger is and where the safety lockout was located, these both make me wish I had my old iroda back. So the torch requires the thumb button to be pulled out so that the button can travel down and fire the Pizo start, this is difficult because the switch to light is placed very poorly in terms of ergonomics, it’s high up meaning at the top of the torch, it’s hard to pull out and pull down at the same time, also it’s all to heavily sprung, the safety button pull out is stiff as is the pull down for start and gas, this leaves an indent in my thumb after about 20 seconds. For reference the old torch was a better shape with the ignition button lower and a safety lock out switch in the side of the device. I ended up pulling the spring steel out of the ignition button and gluing the safety in the start position it was so bad to use. It’s still uncomfortable in the hand. I find myself using both hands with a single handed tool so the newer model defiantly tley isn’t better... hence the score.

Bit fiddly to ignite but works ok

I bought this to do some minor lead work in a tight space on the roof. Despite an excellent service from the seller I was not able to get this troch to work either with the lighter provide or another. It is a great idea, but it never worked. Contacting the seller they asked me to return it and would be refunded the full purchase price.

A useful little torch for small jobs. Good value.

Absolute rubbish ! I even got given a replacement one and diddnt have to send back the first one . the replacement diddnt work .These are rubbish Spend a bit extra and get a blowtorch that works
