Fits my nearly vintage vac - thanks!
I think we likely accidentally threw the nut out when we swapped the filter. I had a hard time figuring out the right part number, but I found my manual, and that had the right part number. I ordered this, and it fits perfectly. Happy to have a replacement nut that fits, because the filter won't work w/o it, and now I can get a few more years out of this vacuum.

Exact fit
Fits my craftsman shop vac perfectly. It's just like the original. I lost mine and this was an easy fix. It should last the life of the shop vac.

It's good to have spare
I have a shop vacuum that uses this filter nut and plate and if you don't have then your in trouble. The plate is stiffer than the original, which is not a problem. other than that one small difference the old and new parts are identical. For me this is a spare but if you've ever misplaced yours then this will work out great.
