WOW... I Am Impressed
First let me say I have tried a lot of different hearing protection and have always been able to find faults with just about every one... EXCEPT THESE!I am a USPSA shooter and Range Officer. I live in AR15ONA and really hate muffs because of how hot and sweaty things get as our temperatures rise. Working as a RO, I had no choice but to use muffs, until I discovered these. My Walker’s were good for 9mm and nothing bigger. My last 3 matches I used the 3M Peltor TEP-200’s and was completely happy.1. Shutoff was fast.2. Worked with all pistol calibers including .38 Super, 10mm, .40 and .45.3. Very comfortable for all day use.4. Recharged very quickly5. Very sturdy storage case6. Controls are intuitive and simple7. Excellent noise reduction. Can be a bit on the pricy side but you get what you pay for.I highly recommend this product.Update: Last night I had the opportunity to shoot and RO a match indoors. I decided to give the Peltors a try. They worked great... even for .40 & .45’s. Very impressed!!!UPDATE: I’ve been using this 2-3 times per week for about a year now and I am still totally happy and have recommended them to many friends who are also very happy. 👍👍

Excellent product for hearing protection while hunting.
The Noise Cancellation is is very good for interment gun fire for hunting purposes. The noise amplification is very help for hearing game and communication with hunting partners. Comfort is perfect for my ear canals and the multiple cones provided help make precious fit. The case and charging station is easy and works well. What you would expect from a company like 3M. Warmth is so so, not for use below 35 degrees f. Well worth the money if you use them for hunting. Better than ear muffs or ear buds for sure.

These do work.
I've tried other similar products. So far these are the best. Fit is good, noise reduction is good, sound quality when not blocking loud noise is fairly good. I don't expect these to replace hearing aids, but they do work nicely at the range.Later note. Of course, by Murphy's Law, the right earpiece stopped amplifying shortly after I posted my first review. I've downgraded my rating from a 4 star to a 3 star.

Great idea and functionality - while it works
I was excited to receive and use these. Out of the box the noise compression was great, could hear well in multiple situations, both inside and outside in gun ranges. They worked so well I started using them while mowing the lawn, and on construction sites. My issues came when removing the foam eartip - the post on the of the earbuds cracked/separated from the body rendering it useless. It was within warranty so I started a lengthy process of corresponding via email with a support specialist, and finally received a non-committal "this shouldn't happen but send it back and we will look at it and tell you if it is under warranty". I sent it back via USPS, with insurance, tracking, and signature required. After two delivery attempts the USPS left me with a message saying it had been placed in a PO box, and a couple days later someone picked it up and signed for it.After three weeks of no response from 3M, I contacted support again only to be told that they don't have a PO box and they don't have my earbud, even after providing them with the USPS's tracking report. At this point I had no choice but to buy a replacement earbud for $185 or so. Now I am close to $600 invested in keeping this product running.Fast forward to today, I go to mow the law and only one earbud turns on. I replace the batteries in the case and note that the one that won't turn on is throwing a 'not charging' and then a 'low battery' on the led indicator. After 30 min, still no charge on the one that wouldn't turn on. I put them in anyway and turned on the one that is still holding a charge. I was then treated to an electronic hum/whine while starting up my ride-on lawnmower, getting too close to my open car door, or any other object that uses electricity. At this point, and unfortunately after almost $600 of investment, I am retiring my TEP-200's. Please use my experience as a cautionary tale to avoid these 3M/Peltor products.

Not good in multiple noise environments
These are very comfortable but if you try to use them where there is more then 1 kind of noise going on ex. Construction, machine shop, industrial space they struggle they will suppress what is right around you but the quieter white noise happening a hundred feet away they amplify and block anything you are trying to hear out fairly disappointed with the purchase of them. In a already quiet envoirment they are great

the TEP-200 are a great deal improved from the -100
They have a third volume setting which is better for hearing impaired people; I'd like to see an even higher setting for the third one but it is so much better than the -100. The skull screws are a must have for tactical/range shooting. The on/off push button switchgear isn't as durable as it could be...I shoot a lot of trap/shotgun and the switch failed on one of my -100 earpieces in a couple years. To be sure, 3M NC couldn't repair it so they replaced it with a demo -100, very nice. Long story short, buy the -200!

Great for What it is
I had heard mixed reviews on this, but I decided to give them a try anyway. Did a few competitions with it so I wanted to inform future buyers:Cons:- NOT as good as over the ear hearing protection (I am comparing this to 3M Peltors)Pros:- Fairly comfortable, make sure you take the time to use the correct fittings- Good battery life, lasted all day on the range no problem (8 hrs)- Good sound suppression, maybe not for indoor use, but fine outdoors- Electronics work very well, can hold conversations while conducting training. My only reason for listing this as a con as well is because the sound is obviously much better on a quality over the ear set.Overall: Still glad I bought them. Sometimes, I just don't feel like wearing a full size headset. These are extremely portable, have good battery life, and work good enough that I would buy them again and refer them to a friend.
