Easy and Versatile
I was very sceptical about this device but it is absolutely brilliant. My hard disk enclosure failed and I reformatted some of my drives but I plugged this in and it worked. It wouldn't work on a USB 1 connection but is absolutely fine on a powered USB 2 hub. It has saved my hard drive and life!

Works perfect, easy setup and saved me a lot of worries regarding lost files etc. Well pleased.

Excellent product
This is a great product for recovering data from older laptops that no longer work. I have made use of two of the three available hardware connectors, one for a Toshiba laptop I bought back in 2003 which only recently packed in. It was easy to see from the images on the website what each of the three connector ports looked like so I could match them to the hard disks I had removed from the laptops.

Just works - no problen
Used this to amalgamate the content of all my old drives going back into the last century. Some of the older ones took a bit of time to copy but no problems at all - straightforward to use.

It works but.....
I only connected using the SATA port which worked perfectly for my old 2.5" ssd, 3.5" hdd and classic bluray drive, The latter two required the additional power which was fine.Main draw back is that the cables are a bit short so it made the perches a tad more exciting than required (- 1* for excitement)I noticed an average transfer speed of around 130 mbps so nowhere near the 5 gbps quoted (-1* for fibbing).Definitely cheaper than getting enclosures (especially a bluray one) but not practical if you want to access your external drives frequently.

Very good
I already have a similar device, but the transfer is much worse. Thanks to USB 3.0, data transfer is more stable and faster, and additional external power is necessary for old HDDs
