Some of them are defective. When I look at the ones that don’t work I can see that the inner metal piece is missing. Because of that the levers don’t lock into place. The ones that aren’t defective work well.

The biggest issue with these is simple, it's shorter. FOR ME, when I'm using these inline splices, I like to expose like 1/4th in and that means internally about 1/4th in of sleeving is in the housing as well. Where you still need to have like 1/4in of copper exposed and will now only get about 1/8th in of sleeving in the housing. This will work better where space is tighter since it's not just shorter, but it's z-axis is also shorter by like maybe 1/8th of an inch. The width is the exact same as the slightly larger ones. but it is nice to have this variety since there are very few fans I have that require all of these stipulations to be met, at this price, hard to say no to them, especially given what WAGO wants.The reason I harp on how much sleeve is in the housing, is because it means less risk of bare wire being exposed and in the climate I'm in, humidity is high. Arching is a real threat. Like for more outdoor applications, I'd also wrap this up in the silicone self-adhesive tape.Do I regret buying this? NO, I think it will more than work for my needs and as such it's nice to have a variety of sizes, like extension cords. Sometimes you want a 25ft cord, but sometimes you want a 10ft cord as well.
