Don't throw out the box and packing materials until you are sure it works
I bought this after researching similar outdoor solar showers. This one came highly recommended from the consumer reviewer, and the other ones had mixed reviews. There was only one review on Amazon, and it was a five star. I decided to risk it. It was easy to put together, but I had to bolt it to my deck before I could try it, and it didn't come with the hardware to connect it to my hose, so I had to go to the store.. The two shower attachments (shower-head and foot faucet) did not end up facing down, and when I turned them back (as instructed) they both leaked. I went back to the hardware store and was told to try plumbers putty (I had used the plumbers tape that came with the shower). I was able to get the foot faucet to stop leaking, but then the shower-head leaked and would not stop until I shut off the hose. While trying to fix the shower-head, I unscrewed the piece it screwed into but I couldn't get it back on since the piece inside was floating. The reason I'm so frustrated is that I can't get any help from the seller except to re-box the whole thing and return it. I was hoping they would just send me replacement faucets or let me talk to a technician but all I get are stock emails telling me they are sorry for my inconvenience and here's a link to the return postage, There is no number to call for help. The Amazon help has been good, as usual, but they weren't able to get me a phone number either. I'm awaiting the latest reply. If I ever get it working, or get a decent replacement, I'll write another review

The fittings provided by manufacturer are totally wrong...but fixable.
I bought this outdoor shower for my beach house last year, but couldn't install it till this past weekend. I read the complaints from everyone about leaking and experienced the problem, myself. The shower head did leak a bit, but I rapped Teflon tape around the threads till it didn't leak, anymore. I did the same with the lower valve, too. Neither leaked after the tape. Here's where it gets weird. This manufacturer engineered the system well, but they TOTALLY missed providing the correct fittings to connect to a garden hose. If you use what they gave you you'll never get it to stop leaking. After looking over the fittings with my engineer eyes the answer was obvious. The threaded shank of the reducing bushing is too short. Garden hoses need to seat completely against the washer. This won't happen with their fitting...and it will leak. I also don't have any idea why they threw in a useless quick-connect, either. It's useless. I'll save you an enormous amount of time...go to Lowe's or Home Depot and buy an Orbit 1/2" FNPT x 3/4" FHT fitting. It's about $2.00, or so. Throw everything they sent away and get the unit down to the base pipe fitting on the bottom. Screw this plastic piece onto the pipe, screw on your garden hose, and you're done!! Easy, right?Ok...translation on fitting.1/2" FNPT - Female National Pipe to a 3/4" Female Hose Thread.Orbit Part # 53366-28 rGModel 53366Works like a champ, now.

Fixed the leak and works perfectly
As everybody said that shower leaks from the hose connection, so I found that the black adapter for water hose that shiped with the shower, need connect with the power washer adapter that sells in every equipment shop. That easy, and no leaks. Good shower for my farm resort..

Hose connection leaks
This is my third season and each year I had to fight with tape and paste to stop the faucet connection from leaking. This year no amount of tape or paste is stopping it and the connection itself is pushing into the shower. I have to shut the water off at night so I don't waste water and by morning the shower is empty. It is not the hose it is at the point where the hose connector extends from the shower. The unit would be very good if it could be used. I don't think its worth the money for 2 years of service and constant fights to stop leaks.

Shower head and foot faucet both leak constantly. I've had outdoor showers before and I followed instructions to the letter, even though wasn't much help. I am very handy and have knowledge of plumbing.

My Anself Outdoor Solar Shower disintegrated as I used it
Purchased this Anself item through Amazon in 2019 but did not pour a slab for it until early 2022. Found it easy to assemble and enjoyed using it through the summer of 2022, until one hot afternoon in August I was rinsing off with cool water when it sounded like a bomb went off next to me. As the photo shows, it simply came apart spontaneously from top to bottom and sheared in half as I showered. There was no stress on the unit other than the dispensing of cool water on a hot day. But in my startled shock I stumbled painfully through a rose bush as I leaped out of the way.My attempts to get the company to replace it have not been answered. At the very least, I feel as though I am owed a replacement.

Read: The key to no leaks is easy
At first it leaked.I relize I had to put the plumbers tape on the opposite way It screws together or it will leak. And you will need about ten layers of tape. Also I used vise grips to tighten and a adjustable wrench. The shower head needed to be extra tightened to align straight. So itemed it up it's straight and there are no leaks.Again the key to no leaks is to put the plumbers tape on thick and to wrap the tape the opposite way you are turning to put the fixture on.And tighten with a vise grips or a wrench.Great water pressurecomplaints are:-it has a quick connect hose adaptor and they don't enclose the end for the hose.- bolts are to short to bolt to teak floor mat. I had to go by longer ones to make it work. Not a big deal. But something to improve on for the seller to take note!
