Ordered this balance board a few days ago but wanted to give myself a little time using it before reviewing.I'm big on maintaining strength and mobility and having a balance board really helps with those two things. You need mobility to be able to balance and do workouts with this board so that while trying to perform exercises your body isn't too stiff trying to balance and in the end causing pain or injury. It helps maintain muscle strength and develops lesser used muscles (especially in your feet if you use this board with no shoes). It's really good for ankle strengthening/injury recovery. My husband has been using it also and has commented on how good it feels for his ankles especially because of his previous ankle injuries. I like how the grip on the board's surface is rough enough to keep you from slipping but not so rough as to not be able to use it with no shoes or cause abrasions on the hands. If you do a lot of workouts at home like me this is a really nice board to add to your home equipment!

I use the Solid Wood balance board to complete my physical therapy exercises to strengthen my ankles, hips, and stability. I have worked with this balance board daily and feel its high quality. Its a pretty sturdy board, unlike the plastic models Ive used before. And there is so much you can do with it! I highly recommend this product.

As a physical therapist I work with lots of people on balance exercises, balance boards are a great way to improve balance reactions and strengthen those stabilizing muscles! This board is a great challenge for those looking to improve their balance!

I love standing on this device while I am working at my standing desk. While difficult at first, it definitely improves balance the more you use it. Also nice to knock out some air squats on this during the day. Highly recommended.
