DOUBLE CD FEATURING ALL 3 FOLKSCENE BROADCASTS FROM 73, 74 & 75 Broadcast Sunday evenings on KFPK-FM out of LA, and hosted for 37 years by the now-late husband and wife team of Howard and Roz Larman, Folkscene was a weekly program, syndicated across the US and which, across its history, feature live performances and interviews, by and with, any number of musicians and performers that the hosts approved of ( ...if Howard liked it, it was folk ), including John Sebastian, Joan Baez, Rodney Crowell and Wendy Waldman, among numerous others. Tom Waits appeared 3 times on the show, once each in 1973, 1974 and 1975, and every time he was on he both performed his latest tunes and was interviewed by Howard. The recordings of these shows are now legendary and feature in their entirety on this double disc set. Compiled in full here for the first time, this set gives both a magical insight into the development of Waits music through the earliest part of his career, and provides a glorious listening experience from the time when Tom was still at his barroom balladeering best.
