Is the inside of this plastic? does boiling water touch plastic? or is it  steel? i cant see inthe pictures other than the bottom is metal. thank you

Japan. I have a Tiger Rice Cooker that I bought while I was living in Japan. I have read that both should be used with a power adapter as the outlets here are more powerful, however I have yet to encounter any issues. Hope this helps!

The manual said this product is designed for 100v. then i can't use it in the US, can I? Why doesn't it say that anywhere on the web???

I have a Tiger rice cooker that I bought at Yodobashi while living in Japan, and it works perfectly fine here for the 9 months that I have been living back in the United States. That being said the voltage here is 120v versus 100v in Japan. If you feel better about it you can buy a voltage converter like this- https://www.amazon.com/Simran-AC-100-Voltage-Converter-Transformer/dp/B004MPR3WW/ref=pd_ybh_a_22?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=X838CKB9FVR6938TVJK0. Because I cannot read Hirigana I emailed Tiger company for instructions and advice for both purchases.
