I bought this because, in all my years of working on cars both professionally and as a hobbyist, I've never had a pneumatic angle die grinder. For some reason I always made do with a scraper, Scotch Brite and sandpaper. I no longer work on cars professionally, but I still do a lot of my own work. One day I saw this angle grinder and bought it on a whim.Wouldn't you know it-- I just had to do a timing belt and a bunch of other work on my truck. It's an old truck and lots of the gaskets have been on there for a LONG time, so I figured this grinder would get a pretty good test its first time out. I screwed an air fitting into the grinder, gave it a couple of drops of Mobil air-tool oil, and attacked the EGR valve and intake manifold.I was able to dig through layers of gasket material and leave all the mating surfaces with a smooth, slightly scuffed finish that will bite into the new gaskets and seal up nicely. Yeah, I could have done it with a block of wood and sandpaper, but sometimes it's nice to just take the easy way out.For the price I paid, I expected this thing to be usable but a bit junky. I also expected the included abrasive wheels to be absolute garbage, and I made a note to replace them with 3M wheels as soon as possible. So far I was wrong on both counts. Both the grinder and the abrasive wheel I used worked just fine to clean up probably half a dozen gasket surfaces on my truck's engine. The grinder didn't break a sweat. Granted, I'm not using it in a production setting, but for a home-gamer like me this tool is excellent.If you're a hobbyist or just starting out, this grinder is a good buy. You can always graduate to something more heavy duty later on if you need to.

I wish I had bought this ten years ago. It makes it easy to remove rust and to get into small places. I also bought the small sanding disks which are great too

Like anything else I review on Amazon, allow price to filter your expectaions. This is a $40 air mini die grinder. Not a $350 piece off the Snap On truck you expect to be perfect and last forever. I am a home/farm handyman and don't use this stuff daily in my work. I spend quite a bt of $$ on high quality tools, but not something I use a couple time a month. Take care of it. Oil at every use and this will be fine. Only had it a few months but it seems OK. Time will tell. If it destroys itself in the first year or so I will amend this review.

Air tools both work as they should. And the bits were better than expected as an extra bonus.
