Prefect, just need common sense to put it together.
Works great if you have the common sense and patience to properly assemble. Just make sure you measure beforehand and cut the magnetic pieces first. Follow the instructions and you'll be good.

Great!
Works great! Comes in a big sheet of mesh and a long roll of tracks and magnets. You trim to size. Everything holds very well. The tracks that hold the mesh hold up really well. It's hard to push it together sometimes, but it means it holds up better. It doesn't say after it's been made which is awesome. My only wish is that it came with extra corners in the larger size. I have a breeder tank so it's long and has two openings instead of one long one. The support in the center breaks it up. So there's little corner pieces and I wish they would send 8 for larger sizes because larger tanks typically have a center brace which gives you two top openings versus smaller tanks have one single opening.Other than that this is a great product and I recommend it. Seller packaged it really well and shipping was on time.

Magnets ≠ Water
The installation was fine and it works great if you have a low maintenance system. Magnets can be tough to reconnect which can cause you to drop one side into the tank. Magnets and water do not mix, especially when housing life. Only usable once too. Use egg crate or a custom made top for a permanent lid

A perfect aoluction
This is an awesome product for that is perfect for any size tank. I purchased it primarily because I have a hang on the back tank and could not find a cover that would accommodate what I needed. I have a mystery snail tank and I needed something that they would not climb out of the water and the tank. It is very easy to install, the magnets are very strong, the netting is strong a great value. I will definitely purchase for any other tank I have the need for.

Works, easy to assemble, looks surprisingly nice
This turned out a lot less ugly than I thought it would be. It's not beautiful, but if I'd paid $20 for the finished product, I'd have been pleasantly surprised. It was a fun silly little fish project. I needed a hood, but I don't like the look of them and I have an overhead light that I didn't want to replace. This is NOT suited for other animals. If I'd used this for my baby corn snake's tank, she'd escape right away. Fish only. This is not a cheaper substitute for a proper reptile tank lid and would be very unsafe. It wasn't hard to put together - the instructions aren't entirely useless, but I think clearer photos/no text would be an improvement. It's the kind of instruction sheet you either puzzle over for an hour or say "huh, okay" and forget about. I took the latter route, it's pretty straightforward. I cut all the pieces out, stuck the magnetic strips down on the tank edge, stuck the grooved strip on top, and put the corner brackets on the top strip before holding the netting tightly and smushing it all together. I cut a slit in one corner for the heater cord, and a slit along the back edge for the filter when I was done, and the netting didn't sag and fall in like I'd worried it would. The option for putting the magnetic strip around the side is a nice idea, but sounds like it would be a pain to get in and out the tank for water changes, moving things, etc., and the way they suggest to make a little door just looks a bit flimsy and off. I wouldn't recommend this for a rimless tank. The holes in the net are small enough (about 4mm - maybe the O on your keyboard?) to keep my adventurous guppies inside their liquid where they belong, but they're big enough that I don't need to lift the lid to feed them. They won't get stuck when they jump. The netting is pretty strong, it's not flimsy. It's a nice material.I was also surprised by just how much there was. I have a 20 gallon long tank, and I'd looked at the measurements listed and thought "eh, sure, that sounds like enough!" and I easily have enough to do another tank.I used a boxcutter to cut the edges as close as I could, but the very edge of the netting is visible, and it's obvious that it's multiple strips stuck onto a magnet. That's my only complaint. It'd be nice if there was some kind of finishing strip to hide the edges, but I paid like $15 for this on Prime day, so I'm keeping it and it gets 4 stars.

if i could give it a zero i would. its cheap for a reason avoid at all costs. trust the other reviews and just go buy a better kit for 30$ more its well worth it.

Great DIY top screen
I purchase this for my 10 gallon fish tank to keep my fish and shrimp from escaping. It was easy to do but it does work well if you have a water filter, heater cord, air cord going into the tank. The magnetic strip works great and the netting is very durable.PROS: Easy to put together, strong magnetic strip, and easy to use.CONS: Does accommodate for things going into or hang on the tank and doesn’t help slow down the evaporation of the tank water.

Not worth it.
Easy to assemble and works if you have a tank you don’t open often.. but if you need to open/close often, don’t get it. Got it for my axolotl tank just to keep the cats away and it’s honestly awful. Worst purchase I’ve made for them yet. Always falls in when I try to put it back on. The clips fall off. It’s just not meant for a tank you open a lot.
