It is heavy duty. easy to use with a Bailey hammer. Splits wood easily. I mounted it on a piece of wood.

I have split firewood, but when having a small fire or needing small logs to get everything started I was using a splitting axe. Bought this and I'll never go back, a couple whacks with a 3 pound hammer and a log is split accurately and effortlessly. Seems built to last, highly recommended!
