boils water fast with virtually no noise at all. Amazingly fast and almost silent!
WOW! I buy a lot on Amazon but I don't leave a lot of reviews. This product however, is such an incredible value, and is so very very excellent that I feel obligated to take the time to explain why it is so very very VERY good.I was traveling last week and I needed a teapot in my hotel room, and I went to Walmart and bought a "Chessman" all metal teapot for around $27 plus tax. To my surprise I discovered that it heated water faster than any other teapot I have ever owned, but more important it was nearly silent. (In the past year I have purchased three glass teapots on Amazon, one for around $25 and two more for around $50, and they are all acceptable but when boiling water they make a very loud noise like a rushing waterfall. It is hard to hear the TV or music when it is operating. Just now I boiled three full pots of water in this new Chefman glass teapot. I was absolutely stunned to discover that it makes NO NOISE AT ALL. All you hear is the "click" when it is finished boiling the water. And my subjective view is that it boils at least twice as fast as the previous three glass teapots I had purchased on Amazon. What's more, this Chefman glass teapot only costs around $23 (as of April 11, 2025 with a 15% Amazon discount). Apparently this is a well known brand and has a reputation for fast boiling times. But no review mentioned the noise level. I think it is a very big deal, and if you want to boil. water this is your choice. If you have ever heard a teapot making a noise when operating, you will be amazed the first time you use this teapot. I cannot give it a high enough rating. - followup after one week - it has started making a small amount of noise when boiling - but orders of magnitude less than the other glass teapot I've owned.. I am ordering another one today. a really good product. Hmmm, a further follow up - I just discovered that if you boil white distilled vinegar in your teapot it significantly reduces the noise a teapot makes when water is boiling. I haven't quantified it yet, but objectively it is 1/4th as loud after boiling vinegar. This Chefman is still quieter, but the difference is not as great as I originally thought. The Chefman remains a tremendous value - it is 1/2 the price of some other brands and boils much faster and starts of nearly silently. And now I know I can maintain the sounds of silence with vinegar.

Fast, efficient, convenient
Used this at my sister's house & loved it so ordered one as soon as we got home. But my new one had a diffuser attachment (hers didn't) which turned out to be great! Now I can just put my tea leaves in the diffuser & it steeps while boiling & then can sit there as long as I want it to. Saves me having to strain the tea through a separate strainer into the cup. I got the 1L size which is perfect as it's small so doesn't take up much room on the countertop. & since my hubby doesn't drink tea it's perfect for 1 person. Cost was very reasonable. & it's SO quick!

Worth the buy! Quality and great product
Affordable price for a quality product. I'm a tea lover & i use this Many times a day. As much as i love a cast iron kettle on the stove, this electric kettle is very fast& highly efficient. A great choice for those that have young children. No worries about turning off the stove... Once boiled, this one automatically shuts off.In my 20s i left a glass kettle on the stove & forgot...Needless to say, in addition to everything here, the auto shut off feature was a sell for me.Highly recommend!

An electric kettle with a light show
I've been using this kettle to make tea daily and I'm very pleased. The handle is ergonomic and the spout doesn't drip. It's easy to clean and fill. The fill lines are easy to see and I really like being able to see the water bubbling. What's super convenient is the kettle lights up red when the water is boiling and then turns green when the water is ready, so you can tell from a distance. Best of all, it will keep the water hot for an hour, so you don't have to rush.

Fast-Boiling, Sleek Kettle That’s Easy to Clean and Built for Safety
I bought the Chefman Electric Kettle (1.8L, 1500W glass model) to replace an aging stovetop kettle that had become a hassle to clean and slow to boil. I make tea, coffee, and instant meals regularly, and I wanted something faster, safer, and easier to maintain. After using this kettle for nearly a month, I’ve been impressed by its speed, safety features, and thoughtful design—especially the removable lid and clear glass body. How I Used ItI mainly use the kettle for boiling water in the mornings and throughout the day for herbal teas, French press coffee, and quick ramen. I fill it with tap water, place it on the included base, and hit the power switch. The water usually reaches a full boil in under 5 minutes, depending on the amount. After use, I clean the inside every few days using vinegar and water or a soft sponge, thanks to the wide opening and detachable lid.ProsFast Boil Time: The 1500W heating element brings 1.5–1.8 liters of water to a full boil quickly—usually in 4 to 5 minutes. It’s significantly faster than a stovetop kettle and perfect for morning routines.Clear Glass Body: The borosilicate glass makes it easy to monitor the water level and boil progress. It looks sleek and modern on the counter, and the blue LED ring adds a cool visual touch while heating.Removable Lid for Easy Cleaning: One of the best features. Unlike many kettles with fixed or flip lids, this one detaches fully, making it easy to reach inside for thorough cleaning or descaling.Built-In Safety Features: It has auto shut-off when the water boils and boil-dry protection if you accidentally turn it on empty. These features give peace of mind, especially if you’re multitasking.Stainless Steel Filter: There’s a small stainless steel filter built into the spout to help reduce particles from entering your cup. It’s not a water purifier, but it’s a nice touch for tea and coffee drinkers.BPA-Free Materials: The parts that contact water (glass, stainless steel, plastic handle) are all BPA-free, which is important to me for health reasons.Large Capacity: At 1.8L, it holds enough hot water for multiple servings—great for families, guests, or prepping a day’s worth of tea or coffee in one go.ConsNo Temperature Control: It’s a basic on/off kettle, so it boils to 212°F with no way to select lower temps (like 180°F for green tea). This wasn’t a dealbreaker for me, but it’s something to consider if you brew delicate teas.Handle Can Warm Slightly: The handle stays cool enough to touch, but it does get a little warm after boiling. It’s not dangerous, just something to note if you’re used to insulated handles.Cord Management Is Basic: The base has a place to wrap extra cord underneath, but it’s not especially intuitive or tidy. Still, it works for storage purposes.ComparisonsCompared to my old stovetop kettle, this Chefman is faster, easier to clean, and much safer with the auto shut-off. Against the Cosori or Mueller electric kettles, the Chefman holds its own—though those offer models with temperature control and slightly more advanced features. The removable lid sets this one apart from similar kettles in its price range. For those who don’t need preset temps, this is a simpler and more affordable pick.Tips for BuyersDescale Regularly: Use a vinegar-water mix or lemon juice monthly if you have hard water. The wide lid makes cleaning easy, which helps prevent buildup.Don’t Overfill: Stick to the max fill line to avoid overflow when boiling. It boils vigorously, so give it room to breathe.Let It Cool Before Refilling: For best longevity, let the kettle cool slightly between uses if you're boiling back-to-back.Use Filtered Water If Possible: Keeps the glass cleaner and extends the kettle’s life by reducing mineral buildup.Who Should Buy This? This kettle is perfect for tea and coffee drinkers who want a fast-boiling, no-fuss appliance with a modern look and essential safety features. If you don’t need precise temperature control but care about durability, visibility, and ease of cleaning, it’s an excellent choice for daily use in kitchens, offices, or dorms.Overall, the Chefman Electric Kettle has streamlined my morning routine and made boiling water a cleaner, faster, and more reliable process. I love the glass design, appreciate the large capacity, and feel confident using it thanks to its built-in safety. Definitely recommend for anyone looking to upgrade from stovetop or older electric models.
